Little Elephant's founder, Chef Anupong hail from Surin, a province that's well-known as the country's historical home of elephants in Northeastern Thailand. Anupong honed his in some of the best restaurant kitchens starting in 1990, and even went on to win a nationally televised cooking competition similar to today's Iron Chef.
In 1993, Anupong relocated from Thailand to the UK, and now have over 30 years of experience creating exceptional Thai cuisine. I've been here twice now, once just after it opened and again last night. Both with a diagnosis of Coeliac. After booking we were sent a list of food I could eat and on the day of the booking they remembered, also taking into consideration 'may contains'. I had quite a few options and settled on panang curry which was amazing! My dietary needs were taken seriously (which isnt always the case in other places where gluten free is usually assumed to only be a choice), proven by the positive attitudes of the waiting staff and of course the chef as I was not ill afterwards which I otherwise wouldve

Ordered a delivery meal which ended up being every bit as delicious as a restaurant experience! The Thai red curry was creamy and delicious. The jungle curry had the perfect amount of spice to get the taste buds going. The noodles and soup were also delicious. Highly recommended for a meal in Eastbourne

The food is so good, you can tell the chef has a passion there as everything is cooked to perfection. I have tried various dishes and definitely recommend little elephant to anyone who visits Eastbourne. During the lockdown I bought a d.i.y cook thai at home kit where I made the pad Thai and the chef even wrote out a recipe step by step to adapt the Thai red curry into a duck fruit curry for me 🤩🤩🤤

Stumbled upon this gem after a 7 hour hike along the cliffs, in dire need of some hot comforting food, and this place really delivered. Although some dishes were perhaps a little too sweet for my taste, each dish was beautifully cooked to perfection. Masaman lamb shank curry which fell right off the bone, that the Pineapple rice and Tom Kha soup was perfectly seasoned, and the way the crispy squid wasn't overcooked but practically melted on the tongue while retaining its crispy exterior, really showcased the chef's skills and techniques that night. Definitely will be coming here again the next

This restarunt would not be out of place in up market London. It’s Exceptional.
Satay chicken and prawn starter mix is delicious, the duck spring rolls are really meaty and full of flavour.
We had 3 mains to share between to but could not finish them. The massaman lamb shank, cooked to perfection and full of flavour, slow braised beef and the noodles cooked in dark oyster sauce are amazing.
Service was good from start to finish, they let us know a big part was arriving shortly after us so we knew to get our order in.
