The White Buck
Please note that Station Road is closed between The White Buck and the A35 until the end of September. The good news is that you can still get to us if you come from Burley village centre as the closure is past the entrance to the pub - despite the unhelpful signage that implies we have been cut off from civilisation!

Enjoy a romantic break in the heart of the New Forest, with an array of activities to enjoy. The White Buck Inn is a charming country house and is the perfect place to drink, dine and stay while exploring the beauty of the New Forest.

Had lunch today with my other half. Food was ok, service was polite enough but had to go looking for staff for cutlery when meal was served. Small portions for the price. The burger was £16 & with very few chips. We want a decent portion of food for that price when we go out. My other half said the burger was nice but had a third of the chips than me which I had a side portion which was £4!! I had sourdough with lentil
Pate also, which was too rock hard! Lemonade in my vodka was £1.25 for a dash of. Overpriced for what we got. Why doesn’t anyone serve decent portions at decent prices anymore

We Visited at lunch time for a bite to eat, we were very happy to find it not very busy, we were seated and advised it was table service, the lady took our drinks order and left us menus, drinks arrived and our food order was taken, thus far all very good.
I ordered the burger £16 not cheap but had eaten here before so thought the food would be good. Well how wrong was I, I have attached a photo so no more will be said except that we also had the try and find a waitress for the next 10 minutes to get some cutlery to eat our now cold food with, I think in this day and age the hospitality industry

Such a lovely Christmas experience. Nicely decorated room, where the suite were beyond expectations despite the online pictures. Superb service where children and dogs are just as welcome everywhere. Great food too!

We've now had two very enjoyable meals here with family. We've been for Sunday Lunch and an evening meal and enjoyed the food both times.
A good range of beers including a few craft ales and very enjoyable food.
Family also commented that the fabric of the building is much improved from the renovation over lock down.

What a find! We prebooked and had our own room for 11 of us, plus toddler and 3 dogs🐾 The menu was good, the food good portions and well cooked.... Delicious.... Puddings were small portions for the prices charged but they were good. Service was excellent. The other parts of the place were very busy with a constant stream of people coming in to eat. Beautiful gardens and surrounding area. Would definitely book again.

The team at the White Buck did an exceptional job of making our large family birthday (table of 24!) absolutely perfect. Staff were exceptionally attentive, thought of all the little details to make the evening run smoothly. The food was all nicely cooked and efficiently served. The atmosphere in the pub was lovely too. Will definitely be back to enjoy their lovely garden!

I stopped for lunch with my sister today. They informed us they were only serving a sandwich menu which we were fine with. There was a decent selection to choose from, including vegetarian options, plus you can choose to have white bread, whole grain, flat bread, wraps or ciabatta. All come with chips and a selection of condiments.
I have to say it was really delicious and well presented. It felt like more like a full lunch!
Good selection of draft lagers and spirits etc. Large patio area and garden with plenty of tables of various sizes. You can choose your own seating inside or out then all

Just a few minutes detour from the main A31 carriageway between Southampton/London will transport you to a whole new world. Be prepared to set your watch back a few decades at least and also to lose access to all forms of modern communication.

If there was a parallel universe to Hobbiton & the Shire then Bilbo, Samwise and the rest of the hairy feet tribe would surely be living in this neck of the woods.

Tucked away on the outskirts of Burley main village with a hideaway entrance which screams 'Country House' styleee is where you will find yourself. This spot is a gem and as far

Great pub, restaurant and hotel. Wonderful setting. The staff are excellent and attentive. The food is mostly locally sourced.
The hotel is small with themed rooms and the beds are sooooo comfortable.
UPDATE: Here for Beer Festival weekend and so far brilliant again. Great beers, guest ales and hog roast. One more day to go.

Sitting in a fantastic setting in the New Forest, this pub/restaurant is a gem. There's always a huge choice of specials on the board, focussed on locally produced fayre. It's well prepared and arrives in good quantities. There's a good range of real ales, and a good choice of wines too.

So go for a walk in the New Forest, and then enjoy drinks and dinner.
