From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was absolutely spotless. Comfy bed, lovely and warm, pet friendly. The breakfast was spot on. The Christmas dinner was superb. The staff are absolutely amazing, so friendly and welcoming. We only live 20 miles away from this hotel and decided to stay here for a Christmas treat. Even though we stay close by we would definitely come and stay here again at a time other than Christmas, that's how much we enjoyed ourselves. Well done to all who work in the Crown.

We came in for lunch, and had a very nice sandwich and burger.
However If you want to eat here in the evening I recommend you book, as when we walked into the EMPTY dining room at 5.45 on a Saturday afternoon, we were told by a member of staff that they were FULL!
Even though there was room outside in the beer garden and no one in the dining room.
I never understand why a restaurant would refuse a walk in when there is no one in. I'm sure they could of served us and we could be out before anyone else arrived.
