Staff doing their best under difficult circumstances, food is acceptable but could be improved. Room is small but you come here to hike not to sit in your room. Carpark gets full - we got the last spot when checked in at 3 p.m. Hotel is centrally located and welcoming.

The Perfect Wedding Venue!!
Choosing a wedding venue is an incredibly big and important decision for any couple to make. We certainly made the right choice in picking the Gwydyr Hotel.
We had looked at a number of venues but as soon as we walked through the doors of the Gwydyr Hotel we knew it was the one for us!
The hotel has a warm ambience and lots of character.
We were welcomed by the manager James, who helped us plan our special day. Nothing was too much trouble for James and all the staff. They made sure we had everything we needed.
Gemma went out of her way to make sure everything was

We and some friends had been really looking forward to having a lovely meal out, but we were extremely disappointed. We ordered the ribs which were supposed to come with chips and homemade coleslaw, but when the it arrived there was no coleslaw and had to ask were it was at which point we were told they had ran out. All that was offered was a salad and there was a definite lack of of chips!
Also ordered scampi and chips and were told that there was no tartar sauce other than in a packet, presumably that was normally homemade. When it arrived it was literally that, no vegetables or salad not even

A lovely hotel full of character, quiet corners and a large dining room. Brilliant pianist and singer on Friday night. They interacted with the few people who were there. Really enjoyed that. I had a delicious evening meal. Big portions. Breakfast was good but had to pay extra and I couldn't get the WiFi to work. I would definitely stay here again.

Actually shocked that this place didn't have more stars! Didn't stay over bet spent all evening in the restaurant (stayed for the football on the big screen). Food was delicious and service was really good! They were so so busy and we had to use an online form to order but it worked well and staff still made us feel so so welcome!

Had a Sunday roast here after enjoying a beautiful sunny day in the Welsh countryside. Wish I hadn't.

I was in a party of 10 which is fairly large but surely not so much that a restaurant can't cope! There were a handful of other diners there too. We came in at 5.45 but weren't allowed to see the menus until service started at 6pm. Ok. It being Sunday there was a choice of 3 roasts, good. Roast dinner was £8.50, good. Manager/owner was very friendly and chatty, good. Then we went back to the table and waited for our meals, terrible.

We ordered 1 salmon main and 9 roasts. No
