Beautiful grounds, incredible sunset, food was decent for breakfast and dinner. Definitely a funky spot, not lux accommodations but for $100usd for one night it was fine. Room was stuffy and smelled mildewy when we opened the door but after putting essential oils in the shower and opening the windows the room aired out. Sometimes I'd rather stay in an old non-renovated room than a chain-hotel for the same price... plus Camelot Castle Hotel was used as the exterior of Dr. Seward's asylum in the 1979 John Badham directed Frank Langella "Dracula" film! Bonus!

Spent the worst New Years Eve in this 'hotel'. Ears being pestered by the terrible music from a DVD of one of the owners poems (with, naturally, sales at the bar). Food was mediocre.
As the previous reviewer states, the rooms were tiny with a plastic cabin as the en-suite.
Service was so poor. Never again

Stayed here May 2010 and from the distance it looked gorgeous against the Cornish Coast, but as you got closer it resembled a pebble dashed prop. Inside looked lovely and classic until we got to our room. A large room with hardly anything in but dated furnishings, two beds stuck together, which were very hard to sleep on, windows that didn't open and a view of the car park, not the scenary we expected.
Then there was the en-suiteor rather a plastic box with a toilet and shower in, had better accommodation in my student days! It was awful, you could hardly move and it was so hot in there. We
