Services
I have been helping people nearly 20 years; I have got a fantastic, committed team of lawyers that have a great track record; in particular achieving results for clients who have physical or mental health problems or capacity issues. We like sticking up for "the underdog", usually an individual (sometimes a small business).
The firm tries not to be overly prescriptive. Different people work differently and staff are given the freedom to pursue their own interests and ways of working, however we very much encourage an approach that emphasises active discussion and exchange of ideas. Rod is the managing solicitor. After law school in London and then training/qualifying in Suffolk Rod moved back to London in 1996 when he started his own practice.
You acted with total professionalism at all times but also with warmth, empathy, understanding, non-judgmentalism and good humour. Your preparation and presentation were spot on. At no time did you falter. I have been in a Court of Protection battle for some freedom, rights and proper case for my father.
Woodberry Down (the street) begins just opposite Manor House tube station, across the Seven Sisters Road and runs south east from (and almost parallel with) the Seven Sisters Road until the junction of Lordship Road. No 8 Woodberry Down is on the right hand side (as you walk south away from the Seven Sisters Road) just after Coster Road and just before the gym.
The Mental Capacity Act sets out various principles which govern how we should all make decisions in respect of people who cannot make decisions for themselves. The MCA also governs the jurisdiction on the Court of Protection. The Court of Protection is there as a last resort to resolve disputes about or on behalf of people who lack capacity to make decisions for themselves.
