Services
Will appointments are usually at our local office, but can also be conducted over the telephone for anyone living in England or Wales. The price for a professional solicitor drawn will, whether by telephone or appointment at our office, is currently just 175 plus VAT per will. Remember that most people die without leaving a will, and that this sometimes can cause great problems for their loved ones.
A notary public is a legal officer whose principal function is to authenticate documents, prepared by him or others, so that they can be absolutely relied upon by the public or judicial authorities, and the interested parties, in the country and place where they are to be used.

A notary must ensure that the contract, power of attorney, declaration or other document that he draws up, verifies the proper execution of, and/or certifies, exactly reflects the true intention of the parties, and that the parties are genuine, that the parties have the necessary authority and capacity to enter into the transaction, and that the parties do so otherwise than as a result of duress or fraud.
Our Charges are usually based on the time spent on your matter. Different rates apply depending on who in the firm does the work, although all work is overseen by a solicitor. Our charges are calculated based on the units of work, where a routine letter out or routine telephone call or 6 minutes of other work is one unit.
When someone dies leaving a will in which they appoint an executor or executors, that is the person or persons who are responsible for ensuring that their wishes are carried out. They usually have to obtain from the court what is known as a grant of probate. We are able to be executors, or to act for executors, and as required obtain a grant of probate and help administer the estate.
Marriage breakdown can be very stressful. We are able to provide friendly and sensitive advice and, where necessary, act for you in relation to a divorce. We can also advise and act for you in relation to ancillary matters to a divorce such as financial settlements and arrangements for any children.
