We're a pretty relaxed bunch; a happy team with high standards. We always aim to have intelligent, well-informed team members, and we make sure our staff are well trained - and are constantly improving and learning. That's not to say we don't ever mess up, but we aim to do our very best each and every day, to give our customers the best Point Bar & Grill experience we can.
We are an award-winning caf, bar and casual dining restaurant located right on the marina quayside in beautiful Exmouth, Devon. We're open every day starting with morning coffee at 11 running right through to last food orders at 8.30 p.m, offering a host of treats including homemade cakes and Lou's famous Brownies - now Gluten Free too!
We've made a lot of changes in the light of all the news about plastics and whilst we can't fix it all, we can do all we can to stick to our eco commitments and minimize our own impact on the situation and help you do so too! So we've rid our bar of plastic bottles and changed our takeaway cups, removed the straws unless you need one and then we'll give you a straw that bio-degrades, and are made from sustainable materials.
Superb Food, Friendly, Excellent service, arrived with Spanish friends who thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this restaurant. The Grill was packed, but, that didn't affect the quality of the food or the service. What a treat, we both had the chicken liver parfait which was beyond delicious, so smooth and luxurious.
Two of our locally sourced 8oz succulent chargrilled Rump Steaks served with rosemary potatoes, watercress, pickled walnuts and salsa verde! Unfortunatley our kitchen is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays for the time being to allow our hard working staff a break. In the autumn our 'Two Dine' offer will return to it's usual Wednesday night slot.

Only went in for coffee, very welcoming, table service only. Not impressed with the coffee, not enough flavour for me but I am fussy, like a good cup with taste! Lovely spot and nice inside. Can't comment on the food, as didn't eat but heard others make great compliments about the food! Only 3 stars purely for coffee!

This was a birthday treat for my wife and all had a great meal and celebration.
Outstanding marine/fish restaurant with a superb fish inspired menu using local Devon produce. Superb table service and a lovely atmosphere within with plenty of outdoor seating.
Superb views of the inner waterway and quay where you can watch the local boat owners driving their boats in and out the enclosed harbour.
Lovely location for a special meal of just to chill with a glass of wine or a beer. Highly recommended.

Sat outside and watched the world go by right next to the Quay. Good beer and spirit range, didn't eat here but plenty of people were doing so, which is always a good sign. Staff really worked hard especially with those that decided to ignore the big sign saying table service only. Definitely go back when the tourists have gone in September.

Situated right close to the Quay and Marina. A good number of tables outside and a quiet spot. Queue nearby for a tourist ferry/boat. People get off abd head for this bar. Food apparently is excellent although we didn't sample it. On our 2 recent visits, we found the coffee and beer to be excellent. On the last visit a week or so ago, we were tempted to have a scone. There was a good supply of jam and cream and we felt obliged to consume as much as possible. All in all, a good place to visit particularly after being on your feet for a time and needing a rest.

By pure chance we stumbled across this restaurant whilst trying to find somewhere that had muscles. We were not disappointed. We had 2 starters (Scallops (photo only shows one Scallop but there were three) and Octopus) and a main course (muscles and chips) everything was fresh, perfectly cooked and very tasty. The service was also extremely good, friendly and efficient. We travelled nearly 3 hours to visit a nearby attraction for the day and would quite happily do the same to eat in this restaurant again. Thank you for completing our day off.

Had one of the worst experience at this place. Waiter seemed very circumspect and uninterested. When asked about bouillabaisse we were told it will have shellfish but ended up having a tiny plate with just cod in it. They had promoted Grolsh on their Instagram page but when orders got served a dead pint with no head on it!
Not only us but most non-locals were asked to pay with the card machine handed out without even presenting a bill! Proper village stuff!
