Many of our 58 bedrooms enjoy views over The river Dee or the charming town of llangollen. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, colour television, and radio, ideal after a long day touring the beautiful countryside. Other facilities include a welcome refreshment tray, free wireless internet access, direct dial telephone and hair dryer.
With views of the spectacular Welsh hills and its' lush fairways alongside the River Dee, the Vale of Llangollen is the only inland golf course to hold HSBC Gold status. The challenging 9th hole is regarded as one of the best in welsh golf. An award winning, undulating, beautiful, Georgian Parkland Course, complimented with mature oaks and lakes.
There are good rivers and excellent rivers, and there are one or two that can be singled out as world class. The Welsh Dee is such a river. This distinction was earned in 1990, when anglers flocked to its banks to fish the world championships. The Dee proved just how good it really was as a trout and grayling river.

Nice Hotel and lot's of rooms in a popular tourist location next to the river with views from the front of the really old ruin on the hill.
Rooms need a lot of a modernisation but generally clean and tidy with comfy beds.
Breakfasts were good a filled you up for a day's adventure and all at a reasonable price.
Would recommend.

A characterful hotel with decent enough facilities and breakfast. Plenty of parking, lots of rooms and right in the centre of Llangollen. Only real disappointments were the language from a few residents in the hotel bar, and the bar staff who lacked hospitableness. I'd recommend it for a short fishing holiday with mates.

What a lovely Hotel to stay in with fantastic river views and countryside.
The staff were great and you would not expect anything else in such a Hotel.
The price for the room for the night was exceptional and there are plenty of amenities surrounding the Hotel.
A must to stay in you will not be disappointed.

Just returned after spending a very special weekend here with our Presidents away weekend with Rotary. Staff were excellent nothing too much trouble . There were 24 of us and all were extremely impressed and satisfied with rooms, meals and location. Our contact was Denise who was efficient and pleasant throughout and extremely well informed. Thoroughly recommend this hotel. In a fantastic location.
