Previously he had been fitting kitchens for other kitchen companies. He was particularly impressed with innovative German kitchen manufacturer Leicht, so when he opened Oxford Kitchens, this was his first choice of kitchen supplier. After over forty years, it still is. Richard had previously worked at Harwell Laboratories from school and then briefly at the MG car factory prior to opening Oxford Kitchens.

At Oxford Kitchens & Bathrooms we design tailor-made kitchens, bathrooms and wet rooms that are as unique as you are.
Our 3,500 ft 2 showroom is equally divided into kitchens and bathrooms and is regularly updated so that we can show you up-to-the-minute products. All displays are designed in house, so reflect both our style and the products that we particularly believe in. You will find plenty of out-of-the-ordinary items here, with that extra twist of character, such as our Philippe Starck taps, worktops that charge your phone and Toto washlets.

Our Kitchen manufacturers are Leicht, an innovative and high-quality German company, and Stoneham, a Kent-based family business with a particular sensitivity to traditional English style - and a Royal Warrant holder. Both offer some of the strongest drawers on the market, both make an enormous range of units, and both are able to accommodate special requests for custom items.
If you are looking for a sleek kitchen with strong horizontal lines and clean lines, we can help you. We can supply units doors in materials including gloss, matt or fingerprint-resistant lacquer; simple laminate; wood veneer; glass - or even real concrete or steel. We can mix and match, so the more unusual finishes can be focused accents.

We shopped around in the greater Oxford area for new counter tops in granite, quartz, or corian, a new hob, and other items. The bid given at Oxford Kitchens was bang in the middle of the quotes we collected. Oxford Kitchens had fitted our kitchen a decade ago, so we decided to go with them again this time as the result of a happy outcome last time. The team director is Richard Hardie who is passionate about standards of professionalism in the lines he sells, and he tolerates nothing less than excellence. Brilliant! I visited the Oxford Kitchens & Bathrooms showroom with a vague request for a "nice new wetroom". Richard listened, and soon provided me with CAD image and floorplan with his recommendations. A few tweaks were agreed upon. In May the excellent and trustworthy fitters (Gary, Dean) carried out the work. Result - my small wetroom as a five-star hotel feel, and actually feels bigger than before! Would highly recommend.
