We are a day nursery for children from 3 months old to school age located just 10 minutes' drive (less than 3 miles) from Gloucester's city centre making us an ideal location for parents commuting to or from Gloucester, Cheltenham or the Forest of Dean. Our dedicated staff aim to make this a real home from home for your children. As well as the fantastic facilities that we offer, we encourage and support good behaviour and learning through diverse teaching methods.
Services
We aim to provide a real 'home from home' experience for your child, ensuring an interesting an exciting time for them. Laura, our manager, has been with us for three years and is fully trained in Paediatric First Aid and Child Protection, as well as holding current DRB checks. We have a staff of fourteen practitioners, all of whom are qualified in childcare or working towards a recognised childcare qualification.
Leaders and staff provide a stimulating learning environment, indoors and outdoors. Children are confident in making choices about what they want to play with and how they want to learn. Children make good progress in their learning from their starting points. Staff have a good understanding of how children learn.
I am pleased to say that we have a diverse team with a variety of skillsets that combine to meet all our children's needs. Above all, however, they care about the children and strive to do what is best for them. Although they each have their own roles, everyone is prepared to jump in and help out wherever it is needed.
The government funds local nurseries and other childcare providers to offer early education places free for 3 to 4 year olds in settings that are registered with and inspected by Ofsted. We have signed up to be part of this scheme and we are now receiving a basic amount per hour for our 3 to 4 year olds, up to a maximum of 30 hours per week.
