Making a Will is vitally important and does not need to cost the earth. Although you do not have to make one by law, if you do have a will it means that your affairs are dealt with in accordance with your instructions. It removes uncertainty for family members at a very difficult time and they know they are acting in accordance with your wishes.
We understand that the death of a family member or someone close to you can be a very difficult and emotional time for those involved and the thought of dealing with the legal process in administering that person's estate can seem daunting. Don't know what to do next?
Beveridge & Kellas can assist you and advise you in relation to the winding up of an estate whether or not that person left a Will, obtaining Grant of Confirmation, ingathering and distributing the estate assets and dealing with the matter of Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax, where necessary.

A will covers your wishes on death but what happens if you become incapable, either physically or mentally, of taking care of your own affairs while in life? A Power of Attorney is a legal document that authorises someone to act on another's behalf in their affairs, be they private, business or in any other matter, except making a will.

For a number of years now, Beveridge & Kellas have been my Solicitors and no matter what the situation has been, have always dealt with things in a very professional and courteous manner as well as making things as easy and straightforward as possible. Recently I had occasion to use their in-house Estate Agents to sell a property for me and have to say, from start to finish their attention to detail and professionalism was outstanding. The members of staff who were assigned to help me were Angela Connery and Connor Mclauchlin from sales and John Campbell for all things legal, all of whom continually

After a very messy sale of house with ex partner, which was more complicated due to the house being a ‘shared ownership’, and difficulties encountered with the other party trying to drag things out and creating many obstacles, the sale of the house has concluded.
Both Don and Lynn have been brilliant, explaining and advising the recommended actions to Reach this point and I couldn’t be happier with the service they provided.I would highly recommend this firm.

I have no words to say how amazing Lynsey was in handling my divorce and contact arrangements for my kids with their dad! No matter what the other side threw, trying to turn it into a he said she said, Lynsey always put the needs and best interests of my kids first. Got my divorce and residency of my kids and it was all down to her and the amazing firm she works for. Can’t thank you enough Lynsey

I have been a criminal lawyer for 25 years and after my marriage broke down I had to find a lawyer for myself. I felt overwhelmed at all the family law issues and having to buy a home for myself and my daughter. I would recommend this firm for giving good advice after listening to me and many thanks to Gillian Conlon and Karen Herd for talking me through all the steps I had to take to get my own home.

Relates to family law. Dealing with my solicitor Don Uttley was fine until I had cause to complain about the bill I received. This was then forwarded on to Lynn Harrison at my request. All I wanted was an apology and a decent explanation, alas this didn't happen. The way in which my complaint was dealt with by Lynn Harrison was quite frankly appalling. No apology (until I asked for one), no real explanation, just copy correspondence, repetition, no acknowledgement of the inconvenience or stress this had caused me, no real answers to my complaint. It was more "I am correct, you are not" attitude
