Every child is an individual and is precious to his/her family, which is why we work with closely parents to ensure all parties are happy with the care provided and we jointly maximise the benefit of attending nursery. Our care staff have been specifically selected to work closely with you to help your child have a happy and enjoyable time with us.
All staff are well qualified and many have considerable experience in child care. The children are split into four small groups to help them settle in and to provide a framework for development as they grow. We have developed a wide range of policies, procedures and risk frameworks to ensure the safety of the children in our care.

Services
I established the nursery over twenty years ago after some mixed experiences with my own children's nursery care. My underlying philosophy was based on several key principles that still hold true today. The staff have to be devoted to their role, seeing child care as a vocation rather than job. The partnership with parents is key and we build trust by being totally open and honest with them.
At Brightlands, we allocate each group specific rooms (or groups of rooms) deliberately designed to help the children transition from the close home environment and prepare them for reception class at school. The baby suite is most like home and has been designed to minimise the stress of settling in.
The baby suite is located on the ground floor and includes a main room which is designed to reflect a typical lounge, with carpeted floors, neutral decoration lots soft furnishings and plenty of room to run (or crawl) around with several quiet areas. This is supported by a dining room which is also used for art and messy activities, plus a room for nappy changing and a separate sleep room.
This is a facility designed for the transition of babies into the middles group. In their time in young middles children learn some fundamental skills such as using the toilet/potty and starting to put on and take off clothes and eating with older children. This room is a little less like a lounge and more like a functional school room, but the small size and welcoming environment means it is not intimidating.
The middles room is at the heart of the Nursery and benefits from free flow play across a number of rooms, including the Pre School Room and Garden. The children also have access to the dining room which doubles up as art/craft/messy play area or an area where a small group can go off and focus on a particular activity and a separate sleep room.

I fell in love with Brighlands since the moment I picked up the phone to check if they had any vacancies. Brightlands is a lovely welcoming place. The owner Alison is the kindest and most understanding person you could ever meet. She always puts the customer first, she accommodated all of our needs at the short notice. She always ensures that the parents and kids are happy and would not like anyone to be out of pocket. Staff is attentive and professional. My son has developed so much since joining the nursery. He loves spending time and is always looking forward to his next visit. I can't thank
