Foretract Engineering is a well established specialist engineering business based in North Cumbria UK, operating its service worldwide. The business is run by an ex sea-going Marine Engineer and the company is a leading expert with in-situ broken stud removal on marine engines and gas turbines. Foretract have recently completed a project to thermal spray a hard coating onto a wearing surface of a 7m long roller.
This was carried out with a spray nozzle mounted on a purpose built hydraulically powered feed rail. A consistent spray pattern along the length of the roller was achieved by controlling longitudinal spray feed relative. The new workshop building is nearing completion with only the internal final fit out and cladding to the front elevation to complete.

Foretract Engineering Limited was established in 2005 in order to provide a specialised service to the marine, power generation, oil and gas sectors. Since then we have successfully developed a reputation for the fast, efficient, and safe removal of broken/seized studs from engines and equipment worldwide, using our in house designed and manufactured portable spark erosion equipment.
Foretract Engineering is based in the North West of England and is ideally placed in the centre of the UK road network with easy access to Ferry ports with overnight travel by service vehicle to mainland Europe. There are 5 international airports all within 2 hours drive of our base all with regular flights to Europe and the Middle and Far East, with Manchester having a major freight terminal for shipping of heavy equipment.

Foretract Engineering's In-situ machining service is aimed primarily at the marine customer. In this role we have carried out refit machining operations during major drydockings of both Royal Navy surface ships and submarines, This type of work usually involves the design and production of special mounting equipment on which to mount the appropriate single point rotary cutting or milling machines.
In the Marine/Offshore industry our customers require the removal of broken or seized studs from a wide range of equipment without further damage to the threaded hole. Foretract is very aware of the lost time costs incurred by ship/offshore installation operators. For this reason our equipment is designed to be operated by our experienced technicians in a fast, accurate and safe manner.
