Services
In St. Mary's Primary School we strive to create a secure, stimulating and happy learning environment where all pupils are of equal importance. We work in close partnership with our parents, promoting catholic values and providing the best education for our pupils, so that the children are given important life skills to use in their role as future adults.
St Mary's Primary School has been inspired by the vision of numerous generations of past principals, teachers, governors and parents. We, as the Board of Governors, aspire to the holistic development of our students and seek to offer them every opportunity to enrich their educational and life experiences in preparation for the challenges of the 21st Century.
We are all enjoying settling back into school and extend a big welcome to all the new Primary 1 children. We look forward to taking part in lots of playing, learning and activities during the year. The page will be updated as much as possible so be sure to check back regularly for lots of photo updates.
In St. Mary's Primary School our main concern is for the care, welfare and safety of the pupils in our charge. Article 19 of UN Convention on the Rights of the Child states that children have the right to be protected from all forms of physical or mental violence, injury or abuse, neglect or negligent treatment, maltreatment or exploitation including sexual abuse by those looking after them.
Swimming is offered to all children in Primary 4-7 throughout the school year as an on-going part of our Physical Education Programme. This presently takes place every Friday morning. Children are required to bring appropriate swimwear and a towel in a separate swimming bag. Payment details are included on our termly newsletters.
