The Great Wall is a 60 cover air conditioned Chinese Restaurant located on East Street in the centre of Rochford, Essex. Established in 1998 by partners Tony and Michael, our restaurant is fully licensed offering an extensive range of freshly cooked authentic Chinese cuisine to dine in or take away.

Been using this Chinese for couple years and always been great but after not having it for a few months I decided to order and was very disappointed, food tasted bland and very salty, prices have increased which I understand but £3.60 for chips and from my picture what I received - tasted stale and like they have been cooked more than once. Also asked for prawn crackers which are normally free but got charged for them. Their menu does not show prices for all items either.

Made an effort to order early asking for a delivery not before 7pm the food arrive at 6.35
So 2 people missed the time to eat and one dish missing food was excellent as usual but poor service and guest missed the food being fresh very disappointed usually much better hope this doesn't happen again

Brilliant. Lovely meal with family. Service is fantastic, food is excellent and atmosphere is lovely. Everyone at the Great Wall does a wonderful job in keeping the customers really happy, well done

Ah, The Great Wall of Rochford. A big miss during these past 5 months or so.
Good to be back in the usual pleasant atmosphere and excellent food as usual. Long may you continue.
