My overnight stay at the W14 Kensington Hotel was just what I needed after a long day. It was close to local stores and a short walk to where I needed to be the next day. For the location the price was reasonable. Staff were lovely and check in was quick. Besides the comfy bed, the bathroom was a dream, the sliding door was a nice feature to save space, allowing a seamless transition to the bedroom. It would have been nice to stay for breakfast - which was included, maybe next time.

Lovely old West London houses converted into a small, friendly hotel. The rooms are comfortable, but quite small. A basic, but tasty continental breakfast in a specially built outbuilding starts the day well.
Nothing fancy, but it's all well done. A five minute walk from West Kensington Tube station (or a bit longer to Barons Court). Perfect for London's museum district, which is only three tube stops away.

I live in the neighbourhood and booked a room yesterday as I had flooding in my house. The receptionist was super friendly and very welcoming. The shower was great and the room very clean. The room rate I was offered was extremely reasonable for central London
prices. They provided in the room plenty of white (white is a must for me) and fluffy towels. In the room is also coffee and Tea for your convenience. Lovely touch. So if you look for a SUPERB location and all the above, look no further. Highly recommended from me.

Great hotel, lovely staff.
We needed a hotel last-minute when our plans changed and ended up here. I'm so glad we did! Our room was large compared to other, equal rooms we have stayed in in London. It was quiet and peaceful. The beds were soft and comfortable. In the bathroom was a rain shower- amazing after a full day trecking around the city!
The staff was helpful in many ways- sightseeing and restaurant recommendations and tickets, advice on getting around, etc. They provided fresh towels and had luggage storage we used our last day after we checked out.
The breakfast is fresh and varied

DO NOT STAY HERE - EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE
My family and I were excited to visit London and thought we found a gem of a hotel; however, we were wrong. I have never been treated with such disrespect as I did when I stayed here. Our group overheard one of the managers trash talking us in Russian during our stay there without realizing that one of us spoke Russian and understood that her and her coworkers had been targeting us and placing us in the furthest room for being "stupid Americans" - we chose to disregard it but this was a clear mistake.
We checked out on Sunday morning and headed

This hotel was the highlight of me trip to London. My room was clean and ready for me when I showed up. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was to die for. I would like to get a shower head like that in my own home. It's very near some good restaurants and easy access to the Tube/underground. I would gladly stay at this hotel again. The breakfast is served in a small separate building and it's fantastic.

Looking at the previous reviews from before the renovation, the aggregate reviews should reflect the past couple of years since the upgrades. The W14 is located on a quiet residential street with beautiful Victorian town houses, and close to High Street Kensington.
During my stay, I opted for the best value for money, the budget single room. While the room itself is very small, the interior is well furnished with a sleek modern design and nice linings for the bedding. The shower and washroom has a cool industrial look and feel.

I am picky about hotels,I have gotten very spoiled in my hotel stays. This is my first time in London, I booked the W14 sight unseen from Miami. I did my research but was still a bit nervous. So I am now in the 3rd night of a 5 night stay and I am very pleased. The rooms are very clean and well appointed, the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is gorgeous, and you may never want to get out from under the huge rainshower shower head! I really like that the blowdryer is not in the bathroom, but beside a full length mirror with a spotlight above the area, very thoughtfully done. The staff

This hotel was changed from a Hostel to a regular/luxury hotel and they have done it very well.
Rooms are small but well finished (big bed with nice sheets, a little desk, water boiler + tea/coffee for free/ wardrobe with enough hangers), big TV screen, Italian (super nice) shower. Very modern, very chic. Breakfast is in a light room with traditional cold buffet (toast, croissant, cereal, juice, fruits, cheese, ham...).
We paid only 119£ fro the double room with breakfast included. For London, it is a good deal especially considering the quality of the room. It's a 5 minutes walk from Baron

I have stayed at this hostel twice in the last 12 months. The first time I stayed in a private room, which was very clean and comfortable. The second time I stayed in a 4 person room. My roommates were all very nice. The room has a sink/mirror and lockers for valuables. If you do not have a lock, you can purchase one. The location is fantastic and the rooms are very clean and comfortable.

A buddy and I crashed here for one night back in June 2007 and it was a jolly good time. The hostel is a close walk from Baron's Court station and the rooms are comfortable. I thought it was fairly expensive for a hostel, but hey, this is London, everything is. Several of my other friends stayed here independently of us and they liked it as well.

I stayed at Ace Hotel for 5 days in June 2007. It was very well reviewed on Hostels.com at the time (and still is).
I booked two beds in an eight-bed room for about $30/night each. I brought my own towel and lock, so I didn't have to rent or buy either. The room had a locker for each bed, and a bathroom with a sink and shower but no toilet. The closest shared toilet was down the stairs.
The hostel was filled with many people from different countries, but all the people we shared our room with on those 5 days were also Americans. It might have been a coincidence, but I think it was on purpose
