Julie made a lovely dress for me. She listened to my ideas and gave suggestions and advice. She fitted the dress beautifully and her years of experience and skill were apparent.
I had lots of very complimentary comments so her handy-work was very much appreciated. I felt confident on the big day. She was also friendly and has an easy maner.

From start to finish Julie was amazing! She fitted my dress to me just perfectly, nothing was ever too much trouble even when I wanted to try it on at 16 weeks pregnant after the alterations as due to Covid my wedding had been postponed a year and I just wanted to see what it looked like. Fast forward one year for my final fitting last week and the dress was still just as perfect as I had remembered. She also provided a matching veil which complimented the dress beautiful and finished it off even though I’d gone in wanting something totally different, expertise guided me perfectly and I couldn’t

Julie made me the most perfect wedding dress- I can't thank her enough. Nothing was too much trouble and she effortlessly took the design from my imagination into reality. Not only that, but she is truly one of the nicest people you will ever meet and made us feel so comfortable and welcome every time I went for fitting. Can't recommend enough!

Just wanted to recomend The Village Bride in Marple Bridge ... I went for my first wedding dress fitting today, which Julie and I designed..... nothing was too much trouble and she is so creative... so if you want something special, for that special day ... she is worth a visit..
Also there are some lovely cafe's and wine bars around the area so you can make a day of it.

I had looked high and low for a dress that was off the shoulder with an a-line skirt fitted to the waist, but could not find a single one with both of those features together. I went to Julie at Village Bride and as soon as I started talking about the kind of dress I wanted she knew exactly what I meant. Before I knew it she had done a sketch demonstrating that she knew exactly the kind of dress I was after, better than I even did myself! Cannot recommend Julie enough at Village Bride. Absolutely amazing work. I didn't really enjoy dress shopping in regular shops and found 2 different styles of dresses on the Internet which I loved. I took them to Julie and 6 months later she'd created my dream dress. She made me feel so welcome and I loved every fitting with her! My wedding was abroad and she made sure the materials were light and that I could stand the heat in it, and it worked. Thank you so much for making feel amazing on my wedding day.

Julie is amazing. She made me the perfect wedding dress and it felt fabulous. Her attention to detail is stunning, hand sewing jewels on and even offering a cleaning and boxing service. I would highly recommend Julie and Village Bride, Marple. She turned my nightmare of finding a dress in pre-made wedding dress shops into a dream.
