My name is Kathy and I have worked in childcare for over 30 years now, including working as a nanny, working in nurseries and working as part of the early years team for a local authority. More recently I was in charge of a Sure Start Children's Centre before becoming the manager of Little Faces Nursery in 2015, where I also worked as a nursery practitioner 17 years previously.
I have a range of early year qualifications including a Foundation Degree in Early Years and Childcare and a BA (Hons) Degree in Education and Training. I also hold an Early Years Professional Status (EYPS). I have a grown-up son and a daughter, so I fully appreciate the time and dedication that is needed when bringing up children.

Services
Previously known as South Downs College Nursery, Little Faces provides a safe, inspiring and exciting environment for young children, where they can be happy, secure and build upon their talents as they grow. A fun and stimulating setting where children can develop their social and physical development by exploring our magically charmed "Fairy Garden" and venturing into the prehistoric lost world in "Dinosaur Land".
My child has really gone from strength to strength at Little Faces and it has been a joy to see her grow and develop in confidence. She loves going in on a Thursday and Friday and seeing her key worker Lauren and I absolutely love seeing the joy in her face when she returns and reading the Tapestry updates.
We operate on a staff ratio of 1:3 for the 9 babies who can attend at any one time in our age group 0-1 years. The staff work closely with parents, ensuring that we cater for the child's individual needs, personal routines and tailoring support accordingly.
Babies attending Little Faces Nursery have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of resources throughout the session including sensory play and outdoor play, as well as rhyme and rhythm activities.Babies are able to rest in a separate area within our dedicated baby room where they are safely monitored.

Parents are to pay for a full session even if they choose to use the service for fewer hours. One month's notice is required if a parent wishes to change the number of sessions they require (albeit if they wish to enrol their children for more sessions this could be available sooner, subject to availability and mutual agreement.).
