Services
Our day starts at 7am when the doors open, your child will be welcomed in and offered breakfast should they require it up until 8.15am. We aim to make these sessions as flexible as you require so you can do the start and finish times you would like within the opening times.

The children will then spend the day enjoying free play time where they can free flow through the nursery and participate in key person time where they will complete daily activities focused on their learning development, which is required by the Early Years Foundation Stage, we ensure that all of our children are given a rich and varied learning environment to spark their imaginations indoors and outdoors.
Anns Wombles Nursery Childcare has helped many different generations with families sending not only their children but grandchildren, cousins and friends. Ann's Wombles nursery is an independently owned nursery, that offers a warm and caring approach to children in the first few years of their lives.
We have some great testimonials of quality childcare from generations of families at Anns Wombles Nursery. Fantastic environment with amazing staff. My daughter left Ann's Wombles 3 years ago to start school, she had an amazing time and was well looked after by the staff, they gave her great tools for starting school.
A scheme that allows eligible children to receive free early years care and education from the term after their second birthday. This is part of a national offer from the Department for Education (DfE) and has been developed to improve outcomes for identified two-year olds who would benefit from accessing high quality early years and childcare provision.
Fingerprint identification is the most secure form of access control. The chances of 2 people having the same fingerprint is 1 in 64 billion - and because there are no pass cards involved, the system is the easiest to use and maintain on an ongoing basis.

Individual fingerprints are stored in the system as a mathematical algorithm (rather than as a readable image) ensuring individual privacy is protected whilst making it virtually impossible to cheat the system. The fingerprint system installed in our nursery allows parents or carers, that are registered, to come into the nursery without us having to leave anyone unattented to get the door.

Ann Wombles is such a lovely nursery. We moved down from Kent and were looking for a nursery for our 2 year old. The staff are brilliant and have even managed to get our son sitting on the potty (which he was petrified of doing before hand). I cannot fault them 1 bit with everything they have helped our son achieve. Best nursery I could of chosen! Thank you Ann Wombles

So much love for this amazing nursery, as a working family we have found ourselves in a situation where our daughter is probably with Ann and her wonderful staff more than she is at home! I commend them for the way they educate and care for our bright and feisty little 2 and half year old! Her development is continually being assessed and communication is great! Since moving to Ann’s Wombles from a previous nursery in the area, Lyra’s progression and growth has been truly amazing to see! Extremely reasonable in cost which is a huge help but has no bearing on the care and service provided! Thank

I have recently enrolled my two and a half year old son into Anns Wombles Nursery. I couldn't be happier with the service they provide, its the personal touches and one to one care. My son struggled with anxiety when being left at nursery he would breakdown in tears and cling to me. However now he walks into nursery without tears, he feels safe and secure there. The team worked with him to reassure and settle George, they gave me the confidence to leave him at nursery knowing he was happy. The homely environment has really contributed to enabling George to settle so quickly. He is going from strength

Having read the reviews I can honesty say I'm shocked. I walk my son here everyday (just under two miles) as i think it is the best nursery within a five mile radius. I did look at closer ones but they were not what I was looking for. All the children are happy they have a lot of room to play - inside and out, the staff are amazing they have helped my little one out a lot - his speech has improved dramatically, his people skills are also improving and they are also helping to potty train him. My son has a freshly made meal every day which are always varied and are not just chosen from a few easy

My grandaughter went to the nursery from the age of two. She learnt many skills in her time here and she loved everyday there. The staff were always interacting with the children and they always had things to do. When she was starting school her teachers were shocked as to how much she could already do and how much she knew and this was mainly down to the staff at wombles. She always ate home cooked meals and looked forward to each of the activities. Although she is now 6years old she still loves going to the nursery in the holidays. There is always drinking water available to the children and

My daughter attended this nursery until August 2011 when she went to school and my boy goes here since April 2013. We had the option of placing him in the nursery at our daughter’s school but we could not imagine taking him anywhere else then here, at Ann’s Wombles, even if this means one more trip for us every morning at rush hour and every afternoon.
The staff is amazing, the level of care and dedication is peerless and did not diminish over time.
We could not be happier, thank you all.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for over a year now and i can not fault it or its staff in anyway. They are friendly and caring. They cook all food from scratch and treat the kids with love and respect to enable them to grow. My daughter loves coming here and has come on leaps and bounds. They encourage free play with learning, My daughter is 3 and able to write small words. They always have access to water from a machine in the main play room. My daughter has always been kept clean and never come home soiled in anyway. I would recommend this nursery and will bring future children here

This nursery is a brilliant environment. I get on well with all the staff and they are brilliant with the children.
Im not happy to see that people are saying bad things about this nursery as it is an excellent, clean and safe place for any child. Older children go back after school and in holidays as they enjoy it. My 6 year old still likes going in the holidays. I have seen first hand the way the staff interact with the children and teach them basic skills. My daughter knew colourd, numbers and even knew how to write several words before going to school. The food is always fresh and cooked on

I highly recommend this nursery to anyone that wishes to send there child to a nursery. I have always recommended Anns Wombles to my family and friends. Both of my children attend this nursery and have done for the last 4 years or so. Aged 6 and 2, my children are really happy here, there is not a day when they say that they dont want to attend! Its very clean, friendly and very proffessional. Food is always prepared and cooked on the day, details on what they do through the day is always given, as well as drawings etc. Its a top nursery in waterlooville :-)

We have 2 generations of children using this nursery now and I have never had the slightest problem or concern. The staff are open and friendly, the children happy and engaged. My youngest child has attended since she was barely 2 - and still goes now after school as an 8 yr old. When my granddaughter turned 2 this year, there was no question this was where she would go. Wombles produces happy, confident and articulate children. I would not have been able to work in the way I do without being totally sure my child was happy and safe. I can 100% recommend Wombles to anyone looking for childcare
