Bewbush Community Nursery C I C
As a Nursery team we are fully committed to provide an enjoyable and educational experience for both you and your Child / Children. We recognise that Parents are the first and most important educators of their young Children. Therefore we aim to work in partnership with Parents to ensure that each Child reaches their full potential whilst having a fun time and becoming sociable and confident in their surroundings.
Services
The Nursery has an open plan interior, which is bright and spacious. The room is arranged into workshop areas, where a variety of experiences are set up, for Children to move around and investigate at their own stage of development. This encourages independence and allows Children to develop their social skills, make decisions and explore through first hand experience and through play.
Each Child has a designated Family Key Person who will spend time building secure relationships with you and your Child, although the care of your Child is the responsibility of all staff on a daily basis. The Family Key Person is responsible for maintaining your Child's Learning Journal and ensuring that interests and individual needs are met.
Our Nursery Staff are selected for their experience, knowledge, commitment and enthusiasm in working with Children. All staff have enhanced criminal record checks and undergo an intense induction program. Our team consists of an Early Years Professionals (EYPs), qualified Childcare Practitioners, Childcare Assistants and Level 3 Apprentice Childcare Practitioners.
The Nursery runs a balance of child-initiated and adult-led experiences throughout the day, both indoors and out. In the Nursery we adopt a Child-centred approach to learning, where learning is focused through play on the Child's needs, abilities, interests and learning styles with the staff as facilitators of learning.
The term after your Child's third birthday s/he is eligible for the Free Entitlement provided by the Government. This is upto 570 hours per year of flexible free childcare available to all 3 and 4 year olds and eligible 2 year olds. Some 3 and 4 year olds are eligible for an additional 570 (up to 1,140 ) hours per year, which is called Extended FE, if they meet the eligibility criteria.
