Luis is the jewel in your crown - goes above and beyond. Stayed in Rock House - few issues, no heating, hot water tank thumping all night etc - and we won't talk about the occupants of the adjoining room on the 2nd night = no sleep. However looking forward to our next visit.

Came to the netherworld for afternoon tea with the work girls for a Christmas treat, slightly disappointed with the quality of food for the price paid. Sandwiches were slightly stale, as if they had been made earlier in the day, the mince pies tasted shop bought and the scones were hard and the bread had dried out. It wasn’t anything spectacular as aspected for the reputation and price. I probably wouldn’t recommend having afternoon tea here again. Staff were lovely though and were very accommodating. The atmosphere was very quiet could have done with some background music.

We chose to spend more on a hotel with a spa, but the spa was closed both of the days we were there. Not only that but it’s £15 extra each person anyway. I’d rather have just booked a cheap room somewhere else. The rooms and decorations are extremely outdated. Saying this, the staff, breakfast and location was lovely.

As always, excellent. We were very well looked after, we had a very comfortable room with beautiful views, and the food was delicious. Only reason for 4 not 5 stars is that, owing to an external training booking, the lounge and library were out of use. We shall return in the New Year when they're back in service!

We stayed just one night whilst passing through. The hotel is so beautiful and the gardens are amazing. The downstairs of the hotel is lovely and grand. We had a standard room and whilst it was clean it looked a little dated. Also we took our dogs and being two flights of stairs up was not ideal. Non the less we stayed for breakfast and the staff could not do enough for us. We asked for one of the tables to be moved so that we could sit in a quieter area for the dogs and the staff moved it straight away and they also brought some sausages out for our dogs that they loved. Our breakfast was also

Wife and I celebrated our anniversary with a fantastic Spa morning, afternoon tea and dinner.
Spa team were excellent and treatments and facilities were excellent and we left totally relaxed. Then we served afternoon tea on the terrace, service and food was excellent and delicious.
Dinner in the evening was as expected, barman Dennis was superb and professional. Food and service was excellent and menu choices were excellent. Made our day feel special. Thank you to receptionist who organised our taxi with estate taxis.

Fantastic hotel, spa, and venue hire couldn't have been any happy being here. They have a beautiful gardens and an amazing view across the bay, all whilst being a short walk away from the train station.
The breakfast is fantastic great range and more then happy with any and all changes that we asked for.
Unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to try out the spar this time, will be wanting a second visit to definitely try it out
