Services
We are a registered charity run Early Years setting and have been providing Early Years Care & Education for over 40 years, within the Tupsley area which is located in the North of Hereford. Since then, we have continued to grow from only offering morning sessions to now expanding to half or full day sessions for 49 weeks of the year for children from the age of 18 months old to 5yrs old.
Kate holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Early Childhood Studies, a HND in Early Childhood Studies, a Diploma in Pre-School Practice and NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Childcare & Education. Danni started with us as a student over 15 years ago from John Masefield High school, where she initially undertook an NVQ. She has continued to work very hard since then and is so good that she is now our deputy manager!
The success of Bright Sparks owes much to the very positive links between parents, staff and committee. As a parent / carer of a child within Bright Sparks, you can join our great committee and you too will be able to support the group and assist with the wider range of functions arranged every year.
The Early Years Foundation Stage is a document that all Early years providers, as well as schools, have to follow. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) defines the legal requirements and standards for promoting the care, learning and development of children from birth to five years in Ofsted registered childcare provision.
We feel that learning through play is an essential way for your child to learn and develop into independent and motivated learners. There are a great lot of things happening when children are playing.
They are learning key scientific concepts, such as what sinks and floats; mathematical concepts, including how to balance blocks to build a tower; and literacy skills, such as trying out new vocabulary or storytelling skills as children "act out" different roles and building extensive social skills that will support them through their life.During these early years, children form attitudes about learning that will last a lifetime.
