Otford nursery school is situated in the grounds of Otford Primary School. We are a teaching nursery, with children learning through play and fun activities. The nursery has an enclosed garden/play area and a covered area so the children can access the garden in all weather. Otford Nursery School takes children from two to five years of age.
Small children will often feel very insecure when leaving you for the first time. At the nursery we are very aware of this and we will work together with you to find a strategy that works for your child. When providing lunch for your child we ask that parents do not include chocolate or nuts this is due to our nursery being nut free.

Services
1. Allow the child to have a shorter session initially and then leave happy. Gradually increase the session, normally within a couple of weeks the child is settled and completes the full three hours. 2. Ask the child to bring in a comfort/favourite toy or photos for our family wall - these can be family photos or photos of their favourite animal in fact anything that makes them smile.
At Otford nursery we follow the Early Years Foundation stage. This is a statutory framework, The EYFS sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. All schools and Ofsted-registered early years providers must follow the EYFS, including childminders, preschools, nurseries and school reception classes.
Carole-Anne Join the Otford nursery team in 2007. She is trained to level 3 in childcare and is responsible for all admissions and the administrative side of the nursery. Ally joined the Otford Nursery team in 2009. She is trained to level 3 in childcare. Ally is responsible for the day to day running of the nursery and is also our designated safeguarding officer.
At oasis we run from two separate rooms KS1 and nursery run from the nursery building and KS2 runs from the oasis building. During oasis we provide a cold or warm snack with a variety of options and plenty of toys and activities to play with, we also have access to the nursery garden and we have a designated area on the school field which we can use in the warmer lighter months.
