Once a former farm house, now a gastronomic delight, The Bears Paw is a little oasis on the A50. A charming 17th century building surrounded by beautiful lawns and flowers tempts you in from the start. Inside you are greeted by friendly staff and hosts Jay and Mel. All food is freshly prepared from locally sourced produce, with care and dedication by our team of skilled chefs.
Serving Traditional English meals alongside some European favourites. We serve an array of fine wines, beers, real ales and our back bar is stocked with a multitude of favourite liqueurs and spirits. In the winter months we have a log burner fire and in the warmer months enjoy al fresco dining in our country style courtyard or Beer Gardens.

Services
In our restaurants the tables are laid simply. We want you to feel you can dine on a three course meal or just enjoy a light bite or bar nibble. With the emphasis on just relaxing and enjoying the company. In addition to the restaurants we have a well stocked bar with high and low tables plus comfy bar stools.

Went for the 1st time last weekend. Friendly staff & great food. If you go.....go hungry!! The table had fish & chips (the large is HUGE!), Burger'n' chips & Gammon Steak with egg!! Absolutely brilliant. Only 2 of us had room for pudding! We were given enough time bwtn courses for food to 'settle' but not so long that you were chasing the staff. Will go again. Cheers Lou

Poor festive meal!
My wife and I have been frequent visitors to the Bears Paw over the past 15 years. We have always in the past enjoyed the Xmas dining menu but this years offering was perhaps the least enjoyable. Luke warm, tasteless and dry in particular the turkey. The Xmas pud that followed was not much better. We mentioned all this to the waitress but I think that’s as far as it’s gone.
Wake up Bears Pub! A good reputation is hard to achieve but can be lost very quickly. We’ll probably try more local restaurants to us in future rather than risk another disappointment. Sad really.

This was a surprise little stay away for the night. This lovely hotel and restaurant is the sleepy village of of Warmingham. The room was very nice and tastefully decorated. The meal from the restaurant was outstanding and so many flavours. The staff are all very helpful and there is plenty of parking. If you fancy a totally relaxed atmosphere then .ake a date to stay here. Oh and they are also dog friendly. You really cant go wrong.

I really am shocked how bad our experience was tonight.
Whilst watching our drinks sitting on the bar we were asked if we would like to order drinks!!
The nachos we had to share before our main course were dreadful, hardly any cheese and had been left in oven too long and the dips were beyond small.
I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and fries and my Husband had the pheasant.
The pheasant was poor and the portion was toddler sized. Ridiculous.
My chicken breast was pink, the dish was listed as using little Gem lettuce however I received mostly iceberg lettuce and the small amount of little gem

From check in to check out the service has been brilliant. The room was luxurious, roomy clean and extremely comfortable. We took our pup with us and as its a dog friendly hotel. To say there was quite a few dogs staying, you wouldn’t have known. The food in the restaurant was a limited menu , but there was still plenty of choices and very delicious. The service was excellent, and all the team were extremely polite ,friendly and hard working. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

This wonderful country gastro-pub has a special place for my partner and I as this is where we came for our first meal together.
Twelve years later we are now regulars. We cone for romantic meals by ourselves, have celebrated various family milestones and even simply call for a drink or a snack when passing.
The food is very good quality and is always served beautifully. Service from the staff is what sets it apart from many other similar establishments in the area.
Having just celebrated our 12th anniversary with another sumptuous meal I believe this will always be our "go to" relaxed quality

Beautiful gastro pub with rooms. Staff really good, food excellent, breakfast freshly cooked to order.
Stopped off on journey north, not a big detour from M6 and will definitely stay again.
We didn't take our dogs but when we told them what they'd missed they were gutted. Doggy beer and a whole doggy menu in the bar!
