Just want to say how much my friends and I enjoyed our mini break at the Waterfoot Hotel in Derry . From the minute we arrived till the time we left we couldn't have been treated any better. The reception staff were brilliant the rooms were lovely comfortable and spotless. The staff in the restaurant and bar were friendly cheerful and welcoming. The food in the hotel was delicious and beautifully presented and our group enjoyed every minute. Would also like to say the people of Derry were also welcoming friendly and went out of their way to be accommodating from the train station taxi drivers and

This is a review for the Sunday Lunch only.
Lets start with the positives. Food reasonably priced, quality and portion size ok, if you want more meat go for the Roast Beef. No roast parsnips sadly and veg slightly boring. Nothing amazing but nothing bad either, a bit above average. A nice this was there was a roast and alternatives. The toilets also good
Issues, had to ask for the wine list, was told that the brands may be slightly different, that was ok but surely it should have been offered or just left on the table with the food menu. Asked for water for the table, this should be provided

If your going to have a wedding on with loud music throughout the night you should advise guests of the hotel in advance. We booked with short notice so it would have been no surprise to the hotel that they had a wedding on.
Either offer guests a room away from the noise of a wedding or advise there is no wedding on.
Lack of courtesy means I won't be back.
If you're booking a stay here ask to be situated away from functions, as the hotel won't tell you there's one on.

Hotel was spotlessly clean, decent sized room with coffee facilities, iron, TV etc. The offer...a 2 course meal, stay and breakfast was fantastic, a great selection on the menu, all the food tasted great in a nice relaxed environment, and the breakfast was very good with lots of options. £5-6 taxi into the centre of Londonderry. However, a good stay was made a great stay by the staff. Some of the friendliest, most helpful and decent people you could meet. Would highly recommend the Waterfoot, fantastic.
