First visit here and we were pleasantly surprised. We all had Sunday lunch and i must say the meat was lean and tender and there was plenty. When the veg came I was a little disappointed with mushy peas, carrots and some cheesy cabbage! But in all honesty we all got stuck in and it was lovely. My only gripe is the children's menu on a Sunday is limited to macaroni cheese, bangers and mash or a small dinner. Nothing my kids are overly fussed about and when your paying £9.50 per adult meal and £6.50 for a kids dinner I'd like a little more choice.

Small busy place. Excellent food (I had the lamb shank) but poor amount and selection of vegetables. Had run out of broccoli so we got carrots and peas. A better selection and more veg please

Went here on off chance like we do. What a little gem. Staff were ever so friendly and Sunday roast was just perfect. So welcoming on arrival. Best book though as it's really busy, although you might get a seat in the bar area where we sat. I look forward to our next trip. Fantastic

This is great old school style pub. The food is fantastic and there is a great Play Centre in its garden too if you have kids. If you like watching a sunset but are nowhere near the seaside, this place is perfect too. The beers are great, the landlord, landlady and the regulars are fun and welcoming.

Really nice, cosy pub with friendly staff. The food is good, lots of choice, and portions are large. They were happy to box up my leftovers. The playground next door is super convenient if you have children. Almost 5 stars, except that my steak and ale pie was quite salty, and the beer choices aren't that great. Will definitely return.

Stopped here for a lunchtime meal. The staff were extremely friendly, the food arrived very quickly and tasted gorgeous. We only ordered kids portions for 2 adults but the food was very filling.
I can highly recommend visiting and I will definitely visit again soon
