At The Bull gastro pub our passion is for the very best ingredients that are fresh, seasonal and sourced as local as possible from top Essex producers. With this fabulous country larder we have created hearty and robust food dishes. Our bar offers some of the world's finest wines by the glass, as well as beers, ales and ciders.
There's always something on at The Bull and The Willow Room in Great Totham. From fabulous musical evenings to themed dining experiences and holiday specials, there's something for everyone throughout the year. We can help you organise a wonderful day, evening or both. We have a large dining room overlooking our lavendar-filled garden and the fields beyond.
The Bull and The Willow Room's best kept secret, the delightful Cottage in the grounds has been tastefully renovated to provide four beautifully appointed double ensuite bedrooms. The rooms are individually decorated in a contemporary style with luxurious bedding and carefully chosen matching accessories.
For this position you will need to be enthusiastic & passionate about food & fresh produce. Be willing to take up new challenges, be competent working with fresh ingredients, have a proven track record of working in a professional kitchen, have good communication skills and be a team player. You should be capable of working well under pressure and with great standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.

We had a 60th birthday celebration here this Sat 15th Jan
Staff very friendly nd helpful
Food was pre ordered but served really welly on time nd was a great quality
Here was a ABBA tribute group on which were really good nd entertaining...
We had booked the 4 rooms available they are small rooms but had everything you need for a comfortable stay
The only thing I would say the bed is very firm
Breakfast was really good quality nd plenty of tea nd coffee nd juice if wanted
It's a lovely place to stay nd enjoy any entertainment they have on

This place is nothing like the pictures - don't be fooled!
Very average menu with almost half of it not available. Very average food. Atmosphere in restaurant doesn't work, seats uncomfortable.
Real shame as the website is great and online the menus and pictures look really good but I'm afraid this in no way lives up to expectations.
Went here for a birthday meal and left very disappointed. We won't be making that mistake again!!

Stayed here for 3 nights ....the room was great with a very comfortable bed. Really friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. The cod and chips were the best fish n chips I've ever had....and I'm fussy with fish ! Enjoyed so much I had 2 nights in a row. Great atmosphere in the pub with very friendly locals.

Lovely place to spend some time in the Sun, has tables near the roadside to the front of the PUB overlooking the cricket field where you can watch a live cricket game. Or watch your favorite sport by the bar on the inside. If you fancy proper food dining experience there are lovely rooms at the back and if you want to be in the garden, it's massive with benches and play area for kids. There is also parking available. Staff are attentive and helpful. This place is a hidden gem! Will be going back again soon.
