I hope you will find the information provided useful. As a parent myself, I know one of the most important decisions parents have to make is the choice of school for their child. Parents want their children to be safe, happy and to achieve well and that is what we strive for at St Peter's. Our motto is 'WE CARE' and everything we do is based around these two words.
We care that the children are happy and enjoy school but we also care that we set high standards in everything we do, from behaviour and manners to achievement and independence. I believe very strongly that education is a partnership between children, teachers and parents. If we work together, the most important part of the partnership will benefit most - the children.

Services
For all of the grown ups and big brothers and sisters who have helped the children with their learning at home Thank you very much! We know how important it is for children to have time to be creative and to have time to concentrate on their Wellbeing. Every Wednesday we would like families to choose an activity from below.
Please spend some time reading through this information with your family so you all know what to expect when we are back at school. You will be able to log on with your child to access the nursery blog and let Mrs Gray know what your child has been doing. Mrs Gray will also be able to send you messages and set some lovely activities (2dos) too.
The Government introduced a new National Curriculum in 2014 and with it came very big changes in the way children are to be assessed in schools. This means we will no longer be explaining how children are doing in terms of a level e.g. 2a or 4c, or average point scores of e.g. 17 or 25. Assessments will now be made against end of year group expectations.
Ofsted Outstanding is the highest award given to a school by Her Majesty's Inspectors. Outstanding providers are those providers who have been judged to have outstanding overall effectiveness in an Ofsted inspection. Please read our Ofsted Report in the Parents section to find out what the Inspectors wrote about St Peter's.
