Reading together at home is one of the easiest but most important ways in which you can help your child. As you share books you are helping improve your child's reading skills and also showing them how important and enjoyable reading is and help them become lifelong readers. As part of our ongoing effort to improve our timestables and maths, we've been taking part in a whole school extravaganza!
We are extremely lucky in Reception to have a brand new outdoor area to continue our learning experiences outside! The ribbon has been cut on the latest dedicated cycling and walking infrastructure to be introduced in Leeds city centre! We also got to see how our local allotment serves our community, what features and amenities mean it works well and what seasonal vegetables are grown there.

On behalf of the staff and governors at Shakespeare, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you. Shakespeare Primary School is a special place where staff are dedicated to providing the best for all children. By providing a well structured and engaging curriculum and by promoting good behaviour through our Golden Rules, we aim to enthuse in all children a love of learning as well as respect and care for each other.
Parents and teachers have an important role to play in working together to help children learn in a safe, caring and stimulating environment. Our website contains pages that show something of what your children do in school and some of the resources that they may be able to use from home. If you would like to discuss your child's learning progress or any other issues, please make an appointment with your child's teacher.
