A Boutique Hotel in Woolacombe, North Devon with one of the finest coastal locations in the whole of the West Country. The Watersmeet Hotel is a luxury four-star hotel in Woolacombe with stunning sea views across the waters of Woolacombe Bay. The hotel overlooks Combesgate Beach and North Devon's rugged coastline with its own private steps down to the sandy beach.

With an array of facilities such as an award winning two-AA rosette restaurant, informal bistro restaurant, indoor and outdoor pool with spa facilities, it is the perfect choice for couples, families or groups alike. We pride ourselves on our high standards and traditional values and you'll find the hotel to be exceptionally comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful.
Services
We are very lucky at the Watersmeet to have such a good team of people. Most of our Reception team have been with us now for many years. They are well acquainted with our regular guests and know which bedroom and restaurant table each guest prefers. They are also all local to this area so there's nothing they don't know when it comes to ideas of what to do and see in the area.
Our guests here at the Watersmeet Hotel are always telling us how well they sleep when staying with us. We bet that you won't find a better night's sleep anywhere else. The Watersmeet Hotel was designed to make the most of its beachside location. All but three of the hotel's rooms offer spectacular sea views taking in Combesgate Beach, Lundy Island and Baggy Point.
Our latest suite addition, the Lundy Suite is located on the first floor, facing South West, perfectly placed for those incredible sunsets that we are renowned for. With all the accruements at hand for a luxury indulgence break, it doesn't come much better than this. Combesgate beach is literally just a stones throw from your room.
Most of our Classic Rooms have spectacular views to the garden and Combesgate Beach. Room 22, has dramatic views to Lundy Island. Whilst smaller than the Deluxe Rooms they are all appointed to a high standard and are very comfortable. Room 6 is the only Classic Room to have a balcony, for which a supplement of 20 is charged per night.
If you are looking to come and stay with the family we would recommend that you call us on 01271 870333 so that we can book the best rooms, or suite of rooms, to suit your requirements. Here at the Watersmeet children can enjoy fresh air and freedom and can spend their days rock pooling, shrimping, playing in the surf and enjoying beach games.

Really lovely hotel. Great friendly helpful staff. We have a disabled daughter & they couldn't have been more accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. We hope to go back soon. Really recommend this hotel. It's not cheap, but worth the money.

The Watersmeet is a fantastic place to stay, the breakfast is wonderful, the location is second to none and the staff are great and really helpful... They even took part in a little bit of fun we were having with another guest (family of ours). It certainly made my daughter's holiday! A special mention for the young smily lady staff member on reception (thanks). We will be coming again

Superb Afternoon Tea, with excellent & yummy Gluten Free options for meeeee. The hotel is gorgeous with a spectacular view across the sea. Emily & Pedro did an amazing job of looking after us even though the hotel is short staffed like so many others at the moment. Another great deposit into our Memory Bank. Thank you Watersmeet !

Visited for an evening meal. Beautifully situated, lovely view out over the sea. Food is expensive and not all things on the menu warrant the high price tag.

From start to finish this hotel was a disappointment. As a surprise for my wife , i booked a sea view room, that apparently also had lovely beach views. Unfortunately, the sea view was blocked by one of the walls of the building, and unless you had a telescope, there was certainly NOT a beach view. This aside we did not want this to ruin our weekend. We sat down for an evening meal, only to be told that if my wife was a vegetarian, that they suggest we ring in advance each day to give the chef advance warning to prepare something, I had fish and chips ( which was actually really nice) my wife had

What a lovely stay we had here. The staff were so professional, helpful and informative. They also added a dash of humour which added a light touch to the meals - which were delicious.
Our room had a seaview balcony and we left the door open to hear the sound of the sea during the night. We enjoyed a long walk on the beach but there are many other walks just as delightful.
I would love to visit Watersmeet again.

We absolutely adore the Watersmeet restaurant. The staff are fabulous; polite, funny, intelligent, formal, informal all in one. They are a great team.
The food is delicious and the venue is stunning. Long may it continue! Can't wait to visit asap
