The Piebald Inn is a warm and welcoming pub, restaurant and hotel on the edge of the bustling village of Hunmanby. Known far and wide for our highly acclaimed pie menu, on which much-loved classics are joined by tempting recipes not to be found anywhere else, we also offer a menu with plenty of options for those in the mood for something different.

Our terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a meal or drink in the summer sun, while our spacious and inviting dining room offers a friendly and intimate dining experience. We have an area in our bar where dogs are welcome, and if weather permits - plenty of room on our patio which overlooks our beautiful, landscaped garden.
Services
All pies are served with your choice of hand cut chunky chipped potatoes, mashed or new potatoes and garden peas, mushy peas or fresh seasonal vegetables and gravy. Chilli beef and beans loaded with fresh chillies, tomato and garlic with a layer of cheese underneath the pastry top - definitely wild.
Cannelloni, aduki, haricot and black eyed beans with beef mince, garlic and chillies. A highly spiced chilli con carne, served with either rice or hand cut chunky chipped potatoes and chefs own garlic and lemon soured cream. Freshly skinned & boned haddock in beer batter served with hand cut chunky chipped potatoes, and either garden or mushy peas with a slice of lemon.

It was cosily warm!!! So many venues are freezing these days! COAL/LOG fire - can't beat it!
Big chalk board as you enter to browse the pies available and what fantastic choices!
We didn't order food on this occasion but we saw plenty being delivered around us and oh my gosh they looked out of this world! Really filling portion sizes too! You won't be hungry!
BIG CAR PARK
Not the cheapest initial price you might think...UNTIL YOU SEE WHAT YOU GET! a real bargain!

We stayed here as it had been recommended as a free stopover for motorhomes with the added benefit of great food and we weren't disappointed. They have 52 different pies on the menu with wonderful combinations of ingredients to suit every taste. Portions were huge so recommend you skip lunch although they do offer a carry out for what you don't manage too eat. Food was delicious and the staff lovely and friendly. Lovely atmosphere with log fire.

Wonderful friendly staff, nothing too much trouble, excellent food made by a fantastic chef, thank you. Fabulous atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. We stayed overnight in our motorhome even though the rail line was close by had a great night's sleep, would definitely recommend and will be back again soon.

Huge selection of pies that came in large portion sizes, so we definitely didn't leave hungry, and everyone really enjoyed their meal. Decent kids menu and other options available if you don't like pies (does anyone not like pies?). The service was friendly and the prices, whilst certainly not cheap, were not excessive and reflected the quality and quantity of the food that we had.

Massive selection of homemade pies containing almost every meat you can think of, 52 (?) in total, but not everyone is always available, fantastic homemade chips also. Very welcoming staff, nothing too much trouble. Very nice inside the pub, with a dog friendly section available which is same decor as rest of the pub, not a grubby back room. Plenty of options available on the menu for non pie eaters ( is that possible) good selection of Beers & Lagers etc. very large car park with a motor home section available.. Booking advised..

This is a fantastic pub, dog friendly too. If you can't eat the big pie's there's a smaller portions.
Myself and mum enjoyed it and so did our dog. Definitely a place to visit again.

We were staying in the area and went for a meal here. Lovely food, friendly staff and great atmosphere.
There are a hell of a lot of beef, chicken, pork, game etc pies to choose from. They all have horse-themed names (see the picture) and if you are Gluten intolerant/allergic and you book with 24 hours notice a lot of the pies can be made to be Gluten Free.
The puddings are also lovely too and for the beer drinkers there are lots of options on tap. Thoroughly recommend.

Very disappointed. We were seated next to a table where a member of staff was clearly doing the pubs paperwork and having a 'meeting' with other members of staff. We had to ask to order our food as no one came to us. We ordered scampi and the Mustang pie. The Mustang was quite nice but the scampi was frozen and fried to the point of dryness. It came with lumpy and hard mushy peas and chips. For £15 we expected much better.... daylight robbery. No one came to see if we needed anything... we had to ask for more drinks. Plenty of staff going nothing, in particular catering for diners needs. Not a

Our second visit to the Piebald for dinner, we weren't disappointed. The pies jam packed full of meat (not a plant based pie-eater) and absolutely delicious with unlimited gravy
Great selection of beers and friendly staff. We'll be back. Keep an eye on the pie availability board before you order. See you guys on our next visit to the east coast.

The food is good and is served quite quickly however the service is appalling therefore not worth the wait in my eye's. We was seated on our table for 8, after 10 minutes of being seated one of us asked if we could order drinks because we hadn't been asked. It then took a further 20 minutes for drinks to arrive. Our food order was taken 5 minutes before drinks came. We ordered another round of drinks half way through our meal which took 15 minutes to arrive. After we'd eaten and the plates were cleared we saw nobody for 30 minutes, and even then it was the chef. We asked for the dessert menu for
