Robert Le Kyng Primary School is a happy, friendly school at the heart of a diverse and cosmopolitan community in Central Swindon. We have a deep commitment to developing the unique qualities of every child and to ensuring that all children receive high quality teaching in order to promote highest academic standards possible.

Our staff are committed to the ideal of caring for and responding to individual needs and our children have quickly developed the same positive attitude towards individual differences. Ours is a school where diversity is understood and valued, with about 26 different languages spoken in the school, our ethos of taking in and nurturing vulnerable pupils and the pride we take in our Special Resource Provision.
Services
Realising potential - developing the potential of every pupil, ensuring that the needs of all pupils, of all abilities are met. Learning for the future - equipping our children for their future lives as well rounded individuals who make a valuable contributions to their society. The key value of RESPECT runs through all of these and is central to the work of the school.
At Robert Le Kyng Primary School, we actively promote British Values, as defined under the Ofsted guidance 2014, through our school ethos, agreed rules, curriculum and teaching. At Robert Le Kyng we are proud of our ethos and feel our school reflects the values of Modern Britain. We value the diverse ethnic backgrounds of all our pupils and families and undertake a variety of events and lessons to celebrate these.
Robert Le Kyng School has a Specialist Resource Provision to cater for the needs of up to ten children with physical disabilities. The children who access the Snug spend most of their time in class with their peers, but the SRP coordinator and Special Education Support Assistants support individual needs of pupils.
In the last five years, Robert Le Kyng started getting involved in more sporting activities, so many of our achievements are of a sporting nature. However, whilst keeping up our sporting tradition, we really want to broaden our ambitions. If there is any competition, we will enter it! We recently entered the Primary School Quiz Championship; soon we have the Junior Good Citizen Award and the School Council Awards.
Our school provides a safe, caring, positive and stimulating environment that promotes the social, physical and moral development of the individual child free from discrimination or bullying where children can learn and develop happily. We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.
