Imagine a haven, where children of all ability and backgrounds are safe and treat each other with mutual respect. Where they are given the skills they need to explore, investigate and learn exciting new things for themselves. Where the thrill of achievement means they want to come back and experience it again and again.
A place where children care about the place they live and how they can help to make it even better. This is what we strive to achieve for our pupils at Ealdham. We hope you will join us in realising this vision. The culture of the school is captured in your school's logo, with the words chosen by one of your pupils: to 'delight, excite and achieve.

Services
Schools receive PE and sport premium funding based on the number of pupils in years 1 to 6. This funding must be used to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport we offer. The funding is provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health, and Culture, Media and Sport (DfE, DH, DCMS).
We recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children. We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children and adults feel respected and valued. We maintain an attitude of 'it could happen here' where safeguarding is concerned and promote a culture of openness where children and adults are able to talk and are listened to.
This policy will provide staff, volunteers and governors with the framework they need in order to keep children safe and secure in our school. It will be used to inform parents and carers of how we will safeguard their children whilst they are in our care.
The policy provides information regarding different types of abuse, links to statutory and non-statutory documentation and outlines our procedures which ensure our children receive effective support, protection and justice.

Although the school inhabits a large 1920's building, we pride ourselves on the feeling of community and trust which exists within the school forged by the relationships we develop with children and their families. We work hard to ensure that every child sets high ambitions and achieves their goals through creating experiences and opportunities for them to engage actively with their learning.
