Over 100 High Velocity Furnaces supplied worldwide are available for kettles up to 16 x 2 x 3.6m deep. Furnaces are normally shipped complete with thermal insulation, burners, combustion controls and pipework ready for immediate installation. The formation of the Company was made to exploit the knowledge Mike Brinkworth had of high velocity fired furnace systems within the client base that Keith Clark had developed in the galvanizing industry.

Simon Clark joined the company at its inception. The galvanizing industry has always been the main focus of the company's activities and Protherm has developed a significant customer base both at home in the UK and overseas. Over the years it has expanded its product range based on one overriding objective - to produce rugged, well engineered equipment eminently suited to the hostile environment encountered in hot dip galvanizing.
Services
Our furnaces are meticulously designed and manufactured to your unique needs and requirements, with over one-hundred of our furnaces in use today. Extensive use of technologies such as computer-aided design (CAD) allow us to optimise the design, such as the size of firing lanes and burner positions.
Our drying ovens greatly assist in improving the efficiency of your galvanising plant. We often supply these to recycle any excess heat from your galvanising furnace to save you spending more money on auxiliary heating. Our simple construction is heavily insulated and, once again, you gain access to the unrivalled 24 hour Protherm customer support.
We supply two types of enclosure, fixed and crane mounted; so any design of galvanizing plant can utilise our equipment. They are designed with safety in mind, more than adequate hoists are supplied with the enclosure and arrestors are supplied in the event of hoist failure to ensure the safety of workers.
For small items and high temperature zinc baths we supply ceramic-lined baths. These are designed to the highest quality standard to optimise thermal insulation and bath longevity. Assembled and designed in the UK, we are able to stringently examine workmanship throughout its assembly. Our ceramic baths are shipped to you pre-assembled and ready to use.
For use with smaller items to remove any excess zinc, our centrifuge machine with an integrated quench unit makes your end product perfectly finished with minimal effort from you. Full-speed spinning is achieved in just 3.5 seconds and wind-down is a mere 3.5 seconds too, all of which is with a high capacity of up to 85kg.
