Nigel Ainge began his career in the motor trade when he became an apprentice at Cutlers of Streetly, the main Austin Agent in the area, where he remained until he had completed his training. However he already had ambitions of running his own business and so in 1962 Hillwood Auto Engineering was established by Nigel, working from his home in Hillwood Road, Sutton Coldfield, repairing friends and colleagues' vehicles.
We pride ourselves on having achieved the exacting standards set by Staffordshire Police, being chosen as their recovery operator for Tamworth, Lichfield, Burntwood and the surrounding areas. Our fleet of 7 vehicles have the capability of recovering the smallest motorbike to the largest articulated vehicle in any situation.

Unexpected problem with my Van Brakes. Workshop diagnosed problem but had a Full Schedule. They agreed to keep the van in the hopes that time to do repairs became available and it did so, albeit a couple of days later (which I had said I was happy to accept, Van with no brakes is no use).
Very pleased with the Workshop and Booking In for getting me Mobile ASAP.
