Services
Focussing on your situation and the most appropriate resolution is central to our work. As a practice, we work collaboratively to create an atmosphere and an approach which is supportive to our clients. This is important when you are facing challenging and stressful situations, and we believe you will notice this difference as soon as you visit our offices.
Our team of specialist family law solicitors based in London, provide advice and legal services on all aspects of separation, divorce and family law. Many of our cases involve an international element. We also advise clients planning to formalise new or existing relationships. We offer clients a range of ways to resolve issues including mediation and collaborative law and have an in-house counselling service.
We are aware that the payment of legal fees can be a worry and we will always be open and frank with you about costs. Our costs are calculated on the basis of the time we spend working on your matter in accordance with the particular fee earner's hourly rates. We do not charge an uplift, and there are no hidden extras.
This is usually the first question our clients ask. The answer varies from case to case depending on the issues that are in dispute and whether these relate to children and/or finances. A typical divorce process will take a minimum of four to six months, but it can depend on the level of complexity and the willingness or otherwise of you and your partner to work towards resolving any issues expeditiously.
We are located in a discreet position, in the middle of Highgate Village. We are close to the A1 and other main arterial routes and are easily accessible by road and public transport. Archway and Highgate tube stations are nearby as well as a number of bus routes including 143, 210 and 271. Parking is usually relatively easy to find in the area.

I have unreserved praise for the service I have had from Bross Bennett. Everyone at the firm has always been very friendly and efficient. I am not sure how I would have got throughout a very difficult divorce without my solicitor Ruth Bross. As well as her excellent advice, expertise and tenacity, I always knew she really cared about me and the outcome of my case. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Excellent service. The expertise, experience and professionalism are worth more than five stars.
Words will not do justice to the help, support and advice received. When involved in a family law dispute, it is vital to have the best of the best people to represent you.

Critical: Quality, Value
Simon Lim lost me custody of my children from a false allegation of drug use. He was very useful at first but recently started ignoring my messages and when we turned up to court he wasn't there and when I phoned up I was told they had no record of my case but recognised my name. Appalling organisational skills all around.

I have used Bross Bennett three times in the last 20 years. Ruth Bross is exceptionally clever, forthright and absolutely clear on potential scenarios and outcomes. I always felt the entire firm was behind me on each occasion, and would fight my corner with tenacity. The firm is a brilliant blend of being small enough to treat every case with individual care and attention, whilst evidencing big firm clout and results. I remember particularly being terrified when I learned we were up against Farrers; Ruth smiled sweetly and said she liked taking on Farrers and winning - and we did! Totally professional

An outstanding practice. The solicitors and partner who dealt with my divorce were experienced, highly competent, had excellent judgement, and really understood my situation. Likely outcomes were always discussed as well as probable costs as the case continued and they actively tried to minimise my expenditure. I had complete confidence in them. They worked with such commitment and the whole firm seemed behind me. I would whole heartedly recommend them.

Having to seek the services of a solicitor regarding family law is never a decision to take lightly, I consciously met several firms before appointing Bross Bennett. They we open and honest from the start and clearly set out the likely outcomes if we were to go to court, at times being brutally honest about what the worst-case scenario could be. Their values run through the entire team, with the partners and senior solicitors continually reviewing my account to ensure the level of service was appropriate while trying to keep the fees affordable. Excellent service and highly professional. Bross Bennett clearly understands its clients' needs, caters for all budgets, and guides clients through legal proceedings with reassurance and care. I have been particularly impressed by the efficiency and knowledge of Sharon Bennett who is highly specialised in financial remedy matters. She has a great deal of experience both in relation to contested issues and drafting settlement agreements. I would strongly recommend this practice for all family related legal matters.
