First class traditional pub with seven hand-pulled ales and some prestige lagers.
Helpful bar staff, a comfortable lounge bar and a quality menu.
All good pubs regularly have their usual suspects and this one is no exception. The "crac" is entertaining and informative.
Love it!!

I had lunch at The Angel yesterday with my husband, who is in a wheelchair. We were made very welcome, and were given every assistance by the Host, Andrew, with getting the large wheelchair in through the quite narrow door, and getting my husband comfortable at the table. In addition, the food was great, parking was easy, and it was an altogether enjoyable visit. Also, there was no hesitation in offering takeaway containers for the food that my husband was too full to eat. We will be back....

Stopped off here on a bike ride.
Great selection of food, perhaps a few more vegetarian options would be good. Had the halloumi in sweet chilli sauce which was superb.
Staff very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return when we're in the area again.

Popped here for their annual beer festival. This was my first time and can't believe it has been running for nearly 30 years!
We had decided to camp there because it is 22 mile drive back to Norwich and obviously drinking and driving is a no no and a taxi would be expensive.
It was a different festival to what it usually is due to COVID-19 but it was still an enjoyable experience. The selection of beers they had were superb from breweries i'd certainly heard of.
The pub food available was good too. I cannot recommend their scotch eggs enough, they're HUGE! As were the portion sizes too.

We visited on a Saturday evening, and hadn't booked. We expected them to be busy, and they were. However they explained the expected timescales they were working to, and we're still very welcoming. This wasn't a problem as we were in no hurry, and the playground provided plenty of amusement for the little ones whilst waiting. They were able to attend to us sooner than they thought in the end. The portions were very generous, wand the good was very tasty. The staff were all excellent.
We found that they also provide camping facilities, and stopped for the evening on site. There is a large field

Excellent service. The food delicious. Try the chicken burger it's the best I have ever had made with the biggest piece of chicken ever not your usually breadcrumb coated chicken . The only think they could improve is making home made chunky chips. .
The landlord is extremely helpful and the bar tenders so helpful and polite .
I definitely recommend it
