The narrowest twin beds we had ever seen! they made for an uncomfortable night. The room was spacious and well appointed so no excuse for the beds we felt. No lift , outside of the hotel appears to being repaired and there is the largest rain gulley in the car park entrance that would trap a Land Rover!
Breakfast had been recommended by Reception but it was indifferent with no welcoming instructions,a member of staff who stood about holding up the sideboard and we were left to fend for ourselves .. the toaster was dangerous, the coffee weak as dishwater, it's replacement when I complained was

Large bedroom featuring a very comfortable bed - perfect for a weary traveller. Breakfast first class but didn't have time to check out Marco Pier White's restaurant. Friendly staff. Perfect location with a large car park, on a crossroads next to a petrol station ( or a station that once had petrol! Oct 1st national shortage)

Reception was efficient upon arrival, the rooms large, and very well presented, and the food was excellent. All members of staff I encountered made an effort to make me feel that I was welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
Considering the proximity to Stonehenge and Salisbury it was very quiet when I visited.
