Briercliffe Day Nursery

It is the objective of Briercliffe Day Nursery and Education Centre to provide the highest standards of care and education for all children attending the setting. We aim to provide a happy, friendly, comfortable and safe environment where the children are stimulated, challenged and fulfil all their learning needs through play experiences.

The Twinkle Stars is a calm, homely environment which caters for babies and their needs to help them progress and develop in stable, comfortable surroundings. The room follows the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and offers resources needed for babies to learn, explore and develop. The main areas of provision in the Twinkle Stars are Physical, Exploratory, Imaginary, Comfortable and Messy/Creative.

We provide large obstacles and small obstacles to enable the children to test their skills balancing, climbing up, down, over and under on our new climbing apparatus. We also have a new bug hotel, mud kitchen, sand and water play area. The children enjoy exploring our discovery garden and like to visit our resident frog who has found a home in our pond!

The child's key person is a valuable resource in relation to the child's care, learning and development. Playing and Exploring - engaging in activities. Active Learning - motivating. Creating and Thinking Critically - extending how children think. Teachers within each room will at all times share responsibilities, jobs and child interaction.
