Welcome to Peter Pan Nursery and Forest School a place where outdoors is key to every child's learning and we make the most of our woodland environment. We are a small family run sessional nursery offering morning sessions and extended day sessions until 2.30pm. We do not offer full day care. Children's behaviour throughout is exemplary and this is praised and encouraged by the staff team.
Our policy at the Peter Pan Nursery is to provide learning through play in a caring and stimulating environment. We aim to provide equal opportunities for all, adults and children alike, not discriminating against gender, race or ability. To allow each individual to develop at their own pace with kindness, encouragement and praise.

Services
Children have opportunities to learn new vocabulary because staff meticulously plan exciting and ingenious activities to support this area of development. Peter Pan is a family run pre-school nursery and was established in 1968 by Mrs Jean Mintram, the present owner's mother in her own home. The nursery opened with just eight children and two staff.
Payable during the first two weeks of term, arrangements can be made to pay in instalments but this must be agreed with the manager at the beginning of term. Parents will be responsible for fees if less than a terms notice is given of withdrawal of a child from the nursery. The entitlement is for up to 15 hours per week.
Below is an idea of what will be needed for our Forest School sessions but are also useful for our normal sessions during the colder months. We often talk about layering clothing but what does it actually mean and why is it important? Layering means that clothes can be put on and taken off when necessary to keep a comfortable body temperature.
SEND is a term used to describe the needs of a child who has a difficulty or disability which makes learning harder for them than for other children their age. This can include behaviour or the ability to socialise, the ability to understand things, concentration levels and physical needs or impairment.
Surrey Safeguarding Children Partnership (SSCP) aims to support professionals, parents and carers in keeping children safe and to provide advice and support on a wide range of topics. The Surrey Family Information Service (FIS) is a free impartial service for families with children aged 0 to 25 years.
