On behalf of our school governors, I would like to wish you a very warm welcome to our 'family' at Woore Primary and Nursery School. Here at Woore we are proud to offer our children a high quality, well-rounded education with fantastic opportunities to develop self-confidence, independence and a love of learning.
The school is a happy and secure place where there is an emphasis on high standards within a caring and sensitive ethos. We encourage and nurture a strong sense of partnership between the school and the family and these things lie at the heart of children's happiness and success at Woore. Our mission is to provide a caring, stable environment along with academic excellence, while preparing our pupils for life long learning.

Services
Woore School aims to provide each individual child with an attractive, stimulating and caring learning environment, where all members of its community are valued. We are continually looking for high standards of behaviour and in work, providing all pupils the environment to develop their self-esteem and to take responsibility for their own learning and build upon it.
Our class 1 teacher is Miss Holland who teaches full time across the week. She is supported by Mrs O'Dowd who works as a teaching assistant for the majority of the week. In class 1 we have PE on Wednesdays. Please dress in your P.E Kit each Wednesday instead of your school uniform. We will also be doing the daily mile each day so please ensure your child always has a warm and waterproof coat as we will go out whatever the weather.
Our teaching assistants are Mrs Booth every morning from Monday to Thursday and Mrs O'Dowd who joins us on Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings. Our P.E sessions are on Thursday mornings with Mrs McBride. Children should come to school in their PE kit, and should have footwear suitable for use on the field and indoors.
Myself and Mrs McBride teach across the week in Class 3. We will also have Mrs Pennill helping us on a Thursday. We are a mixed age class of 26 Year 4, Year 5 and 6 children. Our Forest Schools Leader, Mrs Booth, takes the class down to the forest every Monday afternoon. Again, please ensure your child has suitable clothing, especially for the colder and wetter weather.
We are located in the centre of Woore. If you turn into the driveway next to the traffic lights you will drive straight into our car park. The car park is for staff and visitors only unless parents have prior permission from the school. We have disabled access into the building from the reception area.
