Services
The setting comprises of three buildings, our main building, a converted farm building and two portable buildings. Catering for our children aged 0-3 years, the main nursery building is a two storey building, with our youngest children occupying the ground floor and older children on the first floor.
This room has been purposely designed to cater for your baby. We have a safe play area with colourful, tactile and stimulating toys and an area where babies can sleep. If you prefer, the tranquillity and healthy country air provides the perfect environment for your child to sleep whilst supervised outdoors (weather permitting!).
Our carefully selected crche team provide your most precious possession with constant care and attention. Songs, rhymes lullabies and baby sign encourage early language and communication development. Age appropriate games, books and activities are provided to cover all areas of learning. We use the key person system throughout the nursery.
Polly Pears is well equipped with early learning and traditional toys as well as toys that assist with walking - where necessary. Under close supervision children are encouraged to experiment with painting, gluing and sticking, baking, construction, sand and water and dough - to name just a few.
On the less messy side, stories, songs, rhymes, conversation, sign, music and movement are further encouraged thus developing language, co-ordination and social skills.Children have regular outdoor plays. They are given help and encouragement to improve their gross motor skills using appropriately sized play equipment and ride along toys.

In Andy Apple's room, children are kept busy with all the great activities they enjoyed in Polly Pear's room and more. These are provided through supervised free play and adult lead learning. Additionally in this room, children are steadily introduced to more formal lessons in numeracy and language.
