Lovely old building, we booked the family room as we came to Perth for funeral, big room, 2 single beds and a double! Large bathroom! Perfectly clean, even had 4 bottles of water for us and plenty tea and coffee! Staff very polite and friendly! Breakfast had everything we needed great selection! Will definitely recommend and be back whenever in Perth again!

Overnight becoming Queen Victoria's favourite hotel in Scotland. So frequent a visitor was the queen that a 'royal passage' was created direct from the train station to the hotel. Today we retain the best of our historic charm - with grand rooms, sweeping staircases and high ceilings. With all the modern comforts for a truly fantastic break 'away from it all'.
An exceptionally large interconnecting suite: A Superior Double Room interconnected to a family room of 1 double and 2 single beds. The rooms are joined by a small hallway, containing a spacious bathroom, which gives a lot of privacy. The suite is ideal for a family but it can also be shared between adults.
We pride ourselves in sourcing the best quality produce, locally wherever possible, then we incorporate it into dishes where the full flavour of the main ingredient is enhanced by the accompaniments. Our suppliers have been carefully selected for their finest quality and excellent service. Open 7 days a week for residents and non-residents we can cater for every taste and occasion.

This is a charming stylised old hotel right next to the train station in Perth. I stayed two nights for a wedding outside the city centre. The room was lovely and had everything I needed. Nespresso coffee machine, tv, fridge, iron, hairdryer etc. Breakfast was a full Scottish cooked option buffet style with free Starbucks coffee on tap. All usual continental options too. Some of the carpets were a bit worn in places but it was very very clean. Would recommend this hotel. Staff were very friendly just a bit short staffed at the moment though.

Think this hotel is in process of renovation.Has a lovely staircase and entrance .Good sized roomy bedrooms and bathrooms. Brewing up facilities in room. The only downside was the small portionsfor the evening meal. Plus the bar shut very early. Breakfast was generous portion wise and very tasty. Staff were lovely and helpful so no problems there. A great hotel to stay in if you want to explore the area.

The room was clean and had all the essentials. The restaurant food is very good but breakfast is bog standard. The whole place needs a good refurbishment- tacky tape joining carpet edges, filthy stair carpet, wallpaper ripped off walls in toilets. A shame as it has huge potential in a fabulous building.

This hotel is quite frankly awful. Renovation work going on, paint all over floors, cracks in the walls etc. Then the room!!!!! Yuk yuk yuk. Filthy, damp, curtains hanging off rail, mattress mustve been about a hundred years old!! I complained, was not offered any discount on room so can only assume staff didnt really care. We didnt eat at the hotel.

Was worried after reading reviews.
Right next door to the train station. Pay and display carpark that is free to hotel residents.Beautiful old building with a large garden with a gazebo and several tables at the back. Our room was one of the renovated ones. Both bedroom and en suite bathroom were clean with very comfortable beds. Big TV, hair dryer, hospitality tray. Nice little touches like chocolates on your bed. Staff friendly and helpful. We didn't eat here but saw desserts being taken to a table and they looked very nice.
Downside, - This once gorgeous hotel (massive Central staircase, chandeliers

I liked it here. I see a lot of bad reviews but I was happy with our visit. You can see the building is tired but renovation has begun which can be seen in the public areas. I assume there's a temporary carpet in the main areas until refurbishment is finished which makes sense to me. No point ruining a new carpet. I saw nothing dangerous when I was there. Any exposed wiring was taped up and out of reach. Our room (29) was massive with a huge on suite bathroom. All very clean and presentable. Bed was very comfy. Nice big beer garden. We didn't eat here but I did see food being brought out and it
