CLE was established in 1973 by Kevin Wilkinson and Norman Burgess, and today is a highly reputed manufacturer of precision components working in partnership with its customers. Our loyalty and commitment is shown through investments in high technology machining, along with the drive of being the best at what we do.
CLE supplies hydraulic manifolds and associated components to the hydraulics industry. Our customers are the leaders in design of these products which are continuously manufactured on our Fastems Automated system. CLE manufactures precision parts for the aerospace and defence industries. The material specifications range from the common steels and aluminiums to more exotic types of stainless steels etc.
CLE is an expanding business with constant investment in the most up to date technology. Our strengths lie in Automated Production, CNC Turning and CNC Milling which is supported by our 3D Programming Software and CMM Inspection Facilities. CLE are working alongside Burnley College and have employed two apprentices, James Mellor and Rosie Meloy.
The company is fully committed to the implementation of its quality policy and operates its quality system to BS EN ISO9001:2015. We operate a quality system that includes full 1st off inspection reports (FAIR and PPAPS), in production quality control inspection whic is further supported by random production patrol inspection.
The addition of CLE will further strengthen the capabilities and competences of the group as it brings experience in lights out automation and advanced manuacturing systems/processes. Helen Meloy further comments this is an exciting time for CLE and indeed UK manufacturing, as we look forward to servicing our customers needs alongside the current opportunities for growth that we have.
