Services
Windmill Primary School is located in Belle Isle, in the south of the city of Leeds. We are a Community School committed to the ensuring that all pupils achieve personal and academic success through a carefully crafted curriculum, celebrating fundamental British values and ensuring excellence through pride, effort and an aspirational vision.
We will offer a structure for learning that has a range of starting points and unlimited availability for development through a wide range of new and exciting first hand experiences that will give the children the opportunity to consolidate, explore and test their skills, knowledge and understanding alongside existing experiences.
Low Road and Windmill offer after school club run by our team of professionals. Hot and cold snacks are served to the pupils. During the club sessions they enjoy a range of arts and crafts activities, games and outdoor play. Cost is 10 per session. Parents/ carers can claim up to 70% of the cash back if they are eligible for Working Tax Credits.
In Harmony Opera North is a Community Residency programme taking place at Windmill Primary School and Low Road Primary School impacting on 650 children in full-time education and the wider community in the Belle Isle area of South Leeds. It is the first In Harmony project in Yorkshire, the only one nationally that is delivered by an opera company, and includes a significant focus on singing as well as instrument playing.
Class Dynamix is a project rooted in music, with the aim of empowering young people to achieve socially and emotionally. The project is rooted in British Values and the Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural elements which are so fundamental to the ethos and vision of the organisation.
