We are a family founded and run business that was started in 1936, by Harold Tarr, being a master shoe repairer ran Broadway Shoe Repairs until 1970 when it got passed down to my father Bert. Who renamed the business Coblers shoe repairs, he retired in 1989 the business got handed over to me (Gary) and my brother Tony who now works here.
Under my management we have diversified in other areas. Key cutting and Engraving along with the selling of trophies cups and medals for presentation of awards. We still use traditional methods of shoe repairing to ensure a high standard of quality for our valued customers. Our highly trained craftsmen use the latest Engraving tech from the U.S.A and offer services that most other places can't or won't do.

Services
We offer many services on our premises. Shoe Repairs. Weather a simple stickdown on a sole, to a replacement heel of any type, rubber or leather. New leather soles stitched on the old fashioned way. Or just a simple rubber sole replacement. Orthopedic shoe repairs. I learnt my trade making Orthopedic shoes for people with disabilities or those who have had corrective surgery for accidents or due to medical problems, example hip replacements.

I spoke to the shop keeper via Google messenger first to find out if he could fix my bag and he was very responsive and helpful saying he could. I went into the shop on Saturday and he said he could fix it by Monday, ideal! Went into collect it today and he was very friendly and had fixed my bag. Also said his are the cheapest prices around, so that’s a plus too. Recommend!

Great experience. Very friendly, polite and professional staffs.. the work was also completed to a high standard.. my shoe zipper had broken, and was replaced by them, now its better than the original. They are also the only ones I trust in cutting my keys, as I've experience faulty key cutting from other places.
