Choose from a range of UK sourced plants and unusual gifts, knowing that care has been taken to minimise our carbon footprint and protect the environment. All our home-grown vegetable plants and potted bulbs are raised in peat free compost. In addition, our herbs and ferns, and many of our shrubs and perennials are grown on peat free UK nurseries.
At the garden centre, you can ask my advice on all aspects of gardening, whether you have a large garden, an allotment, or a few pots and window boxes. I'll happily talk to you about chemical-free gardening, wildlife friendly planting schemes, or almost anything else - related to the garden, of course.

Services
We have a fantastic selection of herbs, perennials and shrubs to make your garden sing, and if you're not sure where to start, ask us: we can help you choose the right plant for the right place. Our next delivery of fruit and ornamental trees will arrive in mid-August; if you would like to peruse the price list with a view to ordering a tree that we don't usually stock, drop us a line at the end of June.
We stock both evergreen and deciduous shrubs, with many being suitable for a low maintenance garden. Evergreen shrubs will generally forgive a little neglect, especially during dry spells, and many will tolerate shade. Some have year round interest with flowers, fruits, gorgeous foliage in autumn and sometimes colourful bark that stands out when all else is grey in Winter.
Perennials are ornamental plants that live for more than two years: the majority die back in Winter and re-grow in Spring, depending on the genus/species - our most common FAQ is 'will it come back?' Most of the perennials we sell are hardy i.e. they can stay out in the garden all year and are resistant to frost.
Climbing plants are an important part of any well-designed garden: they can cloak unsightly garden boundaries and cover arbours to divide your space; they add height by covering tripods and obelisks; many will grow through trees, shrubs and hedges. If your garden is small, climbers enable you to add interest and colour on a vertical axis.
Even the smallest space can accommodate herbs, though plenty of sunshine for most is essential - there are a few exceptions, so don't panic if you have a shady garden. Ours are grown at a peat free nursery in Doncaster: a small business which grows mostly for the National Trust, it offers a wide range of great quality and excellent value plants.

TL;DR - Small but perfectly formed garden centre.
First thing I want to say is that you can't compare Bud to other garden centres. It's tiny, so don't come here expecting to see a huge range of plants and supplies. But that said, they make wonderful use of the space available to offer a good range of well chosen and curated products.
In fact it's remarkable how much they've managed to cram in here. For such a tiny plot in a residential area they've got a wide range of plants, including some growing in a tiny greenhouse. There's also a range of gardening supplies
