Services
Red Squirrel Lodge is a tastefully appointed 2 bedroom lodge, specifically fitted out to reflect the ethos and spirit of Ness Castle Lodges. The lodge itself is a semi detached property on one level and has an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area with a wood burning stove, all beautifully furnished to afford you a relaxing stay.
Originally, the Bothy included accommodation for the Fishers; but since the addition of further lodges on the Estate, the Bothy has been the subject of a spectacular refurbishment. The Bothy entrance opens straight into the Fishers' large equipment/wet room. With its comfortable seats and wood burning stove, many a story has been told and many a dram drunk here at the end of a good day's fishing.
If you're looking for something further North why not book a stay in our luxury 2 bedroom apartment in the town of Dornoch. Featuring two large bedrooms (one en-suite), a modern kitchen and a lounge fully equipped with all the luxuries you would expect. The apartment has been designed to ensure the highest standards offering comfort in luxurious surroundings.
Located close to Inverness and Loch Ness, the Lodges are in an enviable position and offer a great place to stay for the active and restful alike. Access too has improved over the past decade; better road, rail and air travel make it easier to visit the Highlands of Scotland (and then explore it) with increased number of flights from across the UK and Europe.

Beautiful surroundings within close proximity of Inverness and surrounding countryside. Plenty to do or just stay put in chill out. The accommodation is excellent and we have been coming here since 2014, once and sometimes twice a year. Fantastic staff both in admin and on site who cannot do enough to make sure your stay is top notch.

I’m not one for recommendations but Ness Castle lodges is one of the best places in the UK we have stayed. We are just back from a week stay in Weir Cottage. Beautiful lodge with lovely wee touches like a full book case with something for all ages, fresh milk in the fridge on arrival & a fully stocked cleaning cupboard with detergent for the washer/ dryer & dish washer. Great base to explore the Highlands. Loved it.

We had a fabulous family holiday staying here in the red squirrel lodge the weather was amazing as was the accommodation. Location was brilliant and very central for sightseeing in the area. Only downside if there were one would be our lack of view of the river from out lodge 🙁. Would 100% recommend a stay and we look forward to returning soon.
