Services
Kirkgate Childcare is a unique childcare setting that is passionate about providing high quality childcare services. The team involves a number of committed individuals with expert knowledge of Special Educational Needs and a drive to move forward with the services available to those requiring childcare.
We provide a quality environment for your child to access independently with the support of experienced and dedicated practitioners. We offer a wide selection of stimulating resources which will help your child to extend their learning and development. Developmental Movement Play involves giving children the freedom to move their bodies in lots of different ways which gives children opportunities to engage in innate movement patterns.

A home visit is a fantastic opportunity for a child's key person to visit a new key child and their family within the child's home. It is a lovely way to begin forming that long lasting relationship between parents, practitioners and children and it starts the process of sharing information and building secure attachments right from the start.

I can’t say enough good things about Kirkgate Childcare! The staff are amazing, the facilities available to children are brilliant and the freedom they have to roam both inside and out as they please is lovely! My little boy struggled with listening and attention and his key worker really helped him to improve before starting school. They really do go out of their way to make it the best experience possible for children. It is a truly wonderful nursery.

I could not recommend this nursery enough, I am so glad we finally have childcare for our daughter that we can put all our trust in. The staff could not be more caring, they go above and beyond with our daughter and have been really supportive to us as parents helping settle her in (which has and still is a huge challenge!) The nursery has such a warm, welcoming feel to it, they have so many different areas of play to help with your child’s development. Xx

This nursery is truly excellent. All the staff are so skilled and nurturing and their approach to learning is spot on. My daughter loves going and frequently talks about all the members of staff and how they have been involved in her day, from the ‘together time’s, to the independent play and the days out cooking and exploring and digging at the allotment. Even lunch time with the team is a topic of discussion! The staff bring such different skill sets and personalities to support my daughter as she develops her own little character, building on her strengths and focussing on supporting her

I honestly don’t think words can express how amazing the Kirkgate family is. Choosing a nursery for my twins who had spent their first 3 years of life with me, was so difficult until I walked through the doors at Kirkgate Childcare. The areas are very cleverly worked out with access to everything your child could want with learning opportunities everywhere. My 2 love to play outside and Kirkgate allow the children to play outside and learn all day if they wish, with it being free flow unlike other nurseries I looked at.

My daughter had just left Kirkgate childcare ready to start big school in September! I could not recommend this nursery anymore if I tried. The staff go above and beyond and truly care about every child! Nothing is ever too much trouble. They blend play, adventure and education perfectly! My daughter always came home with a biggest smile on her face and full of stories about what she had been up to that day! My daughter has just finished at Kirkgate Childcare to start big school in September and we honestly cannot recommend this little special nursery enough. The care, enrichment and education is outstanding. The staff are so friendly and loved by all the children. She went into nursery with a big smile on her face and came out with an even bigger one! Without a doubt choosing this nursery was one of the best decisions we have made for our daughter. We cannot thank you enough, especially Milly, her Key Person you have given my little girl some very happy memories which I know she will treasure forever

We absolutely love Kirkgate Childcare. My little boy has been going there for just over a year and is so happy and settled there. He is always excited to go in for the day, loves his key workers and has made some fantastic friends. The staff always work with each individual child and know their likes and interests; they always support and challenge them. The place has a lovely atmosphere and such a welcoming and caring environment. We couldn't recommend it enough.

Kirkgate childcare is an amazing nursery. My daughter loves going there. The setting is completely child centred and staff are highly skilled. They genuinely care about each child’s individuality and follow and celebrate their interests. All staff have worked to develop a lovely relationship with my daughter, particularly, her key worker, who she loves! My daughter feels happy and secure at nursery and has lots of fun. Both my children have attended kirkgate childcare and I couldn't be happier with our experience. They did a wonderful job preparing my daughter to go off to school, encouraging her to speak out when she's not happy. I was very anxious with my son starting due to him having a life threatening condition, however the staff have gone over and above to ensure his safety and inclusion. I couldn't give this nursery a higher reccomendation.

My son recently started at Kirkgate, he was very unsure at first and would cry when I left, All the staff were really supportive and caring and understood how I felt and answered the phone to numerous phone calls from me asking if he had settled! My little boy now walks into nursery fine and has a very good bond with his key worker and shouts her name all the way round to nursery! So happy I chose to take him to Kirkgate, lovely nursery!

What a fantastic nursery. My daughter absolutely loves going here. They have been brilliant with her allergies, flexible when i have needed extra days, and just generally make me feel that my daughter is important to them. There is a great family feeling and this is what sets kirkgate apart from other childcare locally. All the staff are lovely and the atmosphere is always calm and nuturing. Highly recommended.

Our daughter attended Kirkgate Childcare from the age of two. She had developed confidence with her speech, sharing, self confidence and most of all made wonderful friendships with her peers and bonds with the staff there. I would recommend this wonderful nursery to anyone who is looking for a warm, personalised place for there little one to grow & learn.
